Thank you mcmema!
As you can see, it's a small room, but it's full of sunshine and plants and that's all that counts to me!

Re: where do you do your sewing and quilting?
Years ago, when my kids were small, I did my sewing in part of the walk-in closet in the master bedroom of our little apartment. Once we bought a house, I did most of my sewing at the kitchen table or I got out the folding card table.
Now enough of my kids have left the nest so that I have an extra room I can claim for my craft room, but it is still a work in progress, with lots of boxes and piles. Someday I'll be able to sew again. But then, mostly I'm a collector of fabric, rather than a sew-it-together person.
And I really like DouceFleur1's sewing area!

Re: where do you do your sewing and quilting?
We are empty nesters so we have two spare bedrooms. One is my sewing studio, the other is a guest bedroom. My sewing studio is small, maybe 12 X 12, not sure. Most quilting stuff is done in there from pressing new washed fabric, cutting, piecing, pressing. I have a cutting table that has fold down sides so I can make a little more room for myself by folding down one or both sides after my cutting is done. The only place I can set up my quilting frame is in the dining room after I've moved the table and chairs to one side. It's cramped quarters but I have to make do. When we moved in this house 4 years ago I had no idea I'd have a quilting frame and machine that takes up SO much space. Gee, I wish we'd bought that house with the game room upstairs!!! Oh, well, my little room has one cabinet w/glass doors for my fabrics, the cutting table, my sewing machine in it's cabinet, a bookshelf for projects and the TV and DVD player are on top of that, and the ironing board. And that's my space such as it is.
