We have three dogs here. Nikki is a miniature schnauzer with quite an attitude and disposition. She has my husband wrapped around her little paws. Gracie Mae is a shelter rescue, part collie and part black labrador. She is the sweetest dog I've ever met. Our third, Thunder, is a redbone coonhound that is the best hunter ever. She goes fox hunting and coon hunting with my dh and just loves it. The house would be so empty without "the girls."

I have a darling little Rat Terrier, Miss Molly, she can jump 4 feet in the air from standing still and is a riot to watch. I have always had a dog and sometimes cats have wandered thru my life but dogs have been a mainstay. I love her and she is wonderfule company now that 4 of my 5 DD are one their own and don't live close. She gets spoiled just like Cathy, who is DD #5. I could have another dog by DH is not really in favor of it, so will wait and see.
It would be way to quiet around here if Miss Molly wasn't here when everyone is off doning their own thing!!
Happy stitching!!

Ok Are you ready for this one. I have 9 full grown Basset Hounds, one 15 year old calico Cat named Sugar. We had 10 Bassets but one passed away this pass weekend. He is now with our first one that started us wanting more. His name was "George Judhead Dunkin". When he was a pup he would run under coffee table a lot. Within two weeks he hit the table with his head and put knot on his forehead. Had to baby him of course. I have one special one he is going on 4 years. He helps me sew, quilt, and even wash dishes under my feet, and sleeps in bed with me. He is late to bed like me and he gets up oh around 11 a.m. or later. His name is Buster Brown, like the old shoes. Seven stays outside, also have female ,blue/white 6 years old she had to have her eyes removed due painful blindness. But don't pity her she can out run and play with the best of them outside. Nothing stops her unless a tree limb fell for winds. Also catsat for my daughter who has a blackcat. I have fish that has been living for over 5 years, 3 are algre eaters they are about 7 inches long now. and just 6other fish from a long ago store. Why can't I grow flowers, like I have animals.HUMMM. Thats it for me.

A PVGB Is a petit vendeen griffon basset.

I have 6 dogs. A St. Bernard, Moose 3, Chloe, a bloodhound, 7, Maggie a great dane, 5. Daisy, 11yo basset, Rogue, a 2 year old Kelpie and our latest addition is Sadie a 11 month old beagle rescue.

Peaches, I took Moose, my 3 yo Saint in to the office for vx yesterday. He weighed in at 176! He thinks he is a lap dog. I had to shave all his coat as the ticks here are horrible this year, even with frontline.

Busyhands, I have a basset and used to work with rescue transport. Daisy is 11, is on thyroid meds and has had spinal disc surgery. She is in her own little world alot of the time, but I love her anyways.

Maggie is dumber than a post, but she is sweet as pie. Sadie is a bouncy beagle, bad conformation, but her nose and attitude are 100% pure beaglet!

Wow, IowaGal, Moose is a BIG PUPPY, for sure! Are you sure he isn't a Shetland pony masquerading as a dog???!!!! I love hearing about everyone's babies. Bassett Hounds are so cute. I love them all and the only dogs I don't like are agressive ones that scare me. Other than that, I love 'em all, any breed. This summer we're going to get a puppy. Wanted to get settled from our move first and I think it's easier to "potty train" in the warmer months. After we lost my beloved Cody Bear last Aug. my DH has wanted to get a playmate for Daisy. But, I haven't been ready yet. I know getting a puppy would not be "replacing", but it feels like that anyway. It was a very sudden and traumatic experience the way it happened, and I think that's given me cold feet. But, later in the summer I'm going to go for it and take my time choosing a pup who will fit with our lifestyle. I want a medium sized cuddle-bug who will quilt with me again. Daisy is more of a career gal, she's the greeter at our business and loves to hunt squirrels, chipmunks and anything else that moves in the yard non-stop, when she's off work.

Loosing a dear pet is very hard - I don't know what to say to you all that have lost one and still greiving.

When we get in our motorhome and visit all of you, we will (of course) be bringing Cassie!

IowaGal, glad to know the ticks are just as bad over there as here!! We can't take Cassie to the river now, because she comes home COVERED with them - even with Frontline!! So did DH, so he's been sleeping downstairs! He's going fishing today, so he loaded up on the repellant, but I don't know if that will help - and he can't take Cassie, which breaks his heart!

does anone know when the ticks will go away?? Really hot weather?? (Hopefully! - it's supposed to be 85 and 90 percent humidity today!) please don't tell me the first frost!!

We have 3 and take care of #4 that DD seems to forget is hers... DD's is Gidget, she is a pomeranian. We have Lad,a smooth coat border collie and he helps with cattle, Button who is 1/2 Boston Terrier and 1/2 min. schnauzer, then we have our baby Joe, he is an Australian Shepherd. Good thing we live on a farm.
