Carole, I like your colors. I wouldn't change anything.
Marcia, a sense of humor is good medicine and a great coping technique. Keep the one-liners coming! You and I can be sideline cheerleaders and admirers. But I dare you to have the book in front of you, look at these great pictures and NOT sew some blocks! lol!

ME--nothing like posting a pic to show your finest work. So glad to know I am not alone. Your work is beautiful as are your choices of fabrics.
Marcia--you are a special inspiration... what a super attitude! I know that you will be recovered quickly and completely. Laughter truly is the best medicine! We all have your back!

Re: LUB WEEK 1
I finished my blocks for Week One but I am going to post pictures just every three weeks or so as I have a terrible time getting on Photobucket etc. This old computer is about shot but it keeps limping along!
All of your blocks are beautiful. If you look at my SBS quilt you can see what scrappy looks like on one of these. Great job everyone and have fun....don't stress. I remember when we started the SBS quilt I was ready to throw in the towel after the first couple weeks! But I learned so much and had so much fun!!!!! Happy sewing!

WOW!..what a treat to see so many different blocks..:)After I came to my senses and realized I will never have time to hand quilt another quilt by myself (I already have quite a few to do even with help that will take some time!) I decided to go ahead and do by machine...there is no reasoning to the fabric I chose..I am just pulling scarps from my hoarded fabric as descriptions are given....here are my first 3..

...Susie..GREAT ADVICE!..I am not going to stress on this one. I did have to redo my Delaware Flagstones because I found I cut my 3.5" squares 3"!...but I didn't even go nuts about it like I usually do...just took a deep breath and re-did it.
The lighting is terrible! Maybe the next group I can find a better way to take a picture...I am enjoying so much looking at everyone's creations..
..Sonya.
