Here's a picture of the block and quilt. Blocks would be 6 inches finished. Signature in center. The block is very simple and I will provide a pattern tomorrow. I think we sould use unbleached muslin for the center and batiks for the otter part of the block. Your choice of color. I would prefer if everyone makes their own blocks, however, if you are "unable" to make a block, I'll send the muslin for a signature. Return it to me and I will make up the block. I would like to get a large turn out from the forum if possible. I work tonight and then off for 3 days, so I will get all the information out tomorrow afternoon. Lori, that looks like a very simple block!! Sooo quick and easy, and yet personal, with the signature. I vote yes!! lol!

Thanks Lori/zfatcat for posting a picture of the block with the correct size 6" finnished 6 1/2" sq UNfinnished. You send this block to Maggiestew who will square it down to 6 1/1" sq and sew the top together.

The top then will be send to Lori/zfatcat.

xteacher offered to make a label for this quilt.

I just measured the block corners. They should be a 3 1/2 inch squares cut in half for each side added to a 6 1/2 inch center.

Please, please, please make sure they come out 6 1/2 inches or just a bit bigger so they can be trimmed down. Lori

Will we be prewashing fabrics for shrinkage or waiting so we get the 'old-fashioned' wrinkle look?
