Irish, Prayers for Chris and all of you too. How did the surgery go for Chris? This has to be so hard, to sit at the bedside of a loved one and feel so helpless and scared. Please know that God is there too, at your side. HE is surrounding you with many angels to bring support and hope and comfort and peace. May HE guide the hands of the medical people who stand by too, bringing healing and better health to Chris. God bless you all today and always. Love and hugs to you and your whole family. If I might ask for prayers for a young girl I know. Her brother was in Scouts with my DGS a few years ago. I have seen her at various events through out the years and she always has a hug for me. On Monday, she and her friend agreed to meet a young man at a local Starbucks. They have been friends since their early teens. Now 20 and 22. He apparently wanted a more serious relationship. She told him no and then the two girls left the starbucks. He then also left got in his truck and ran them down. As they lay on the road injured, he turned around and ran her over again. She is in ICU with I know severe leg injuries. I don't know what else. The other girl is also injured to a lesser degree. I also have met the young man and while I don't know him well, he was a scout also and his mom still plays a role in craft ideas/supplies for summer day camp. It is very difficult to fathom why he would do such a thing. Has never been in trouble before. I can't imagine being his Mom. It looks like both girls will survive but not yet clear on long term consequences. He will be going to prison (there is very clear video that this was a purposeful act). Very hard as I know both parties. Anna is the main support for her family. Her mother is mentally ill and her father died suddenly in his sleep a few years ago. There are two younger brothers that she tries to care for. A really tough situation.
A Friend is God's way of making sure we never walk alone!
