Only if you break your arm, then life slows way down. LOL

Carole, you could post a photo of your coffee mug top. You'd get lots of pairs of eyes.

Ann, that's pretty exciting, I think, about your DH's friend wanting a quilt custom made.

Sandy, I don't think I will resort to breaking my arm so that life slows down.LOL I can imagine life would be very slow if one breaks any bone in their body, but not any fun. I hope that you are feeling better and healing okay.

I'm finished! I am happy to say that I finally finished the binding on that Christmas block swap quilt. I will post a pic later today to show it off. DH took one look at it and his comment was "If I show that to my friend he might want to buy one already made". I nearly bit his head off with how fast I said "NO". LOL I explained that these were blocks sent to me by some of my friends on the forum and I had made it to keep. I know that some people have commented on using swap blocks for gifts, but I just couldn't bring myself to give these beautiful blocks away. I will give away my own but not ones that have been given to me by others.

Now it is on to the next project, I will have to go through my ufo's and see which one comes next. I have a fall wallhanging that has been calling my name for a few weeks now, so it may be that one that is next on the list.

I am back just in time too! I have a few blocks quilted, the garden picked and put up. Tomorrow I leave on another church function this time it is a leadership seminar. Last weeks trip was fabulous it is called a "Walk to Emmaus" It was a busy week. Next week school starts for teachers. I am looking forward to going back but I will miss all the things I was able to do this summer. I am sure my quilting will slow down but I put myself on a strict schedule. I try to do a little hand quilting each morning and no matter how tired I am at the end of the day I try to to a little more stitches. On Sunday I go to church then from 2 on you better not disturb me or else. That is my time to sew on a quilt top project. And if I don't have a specific top going I work on my on going scrap quilt top blocks.

Sorry to hear about your broken arm sunsup.

I finished the patchwork wallhanging this afternoon! YAY! It is a house sitting on a hillside between two trees. The hanging sleeve is on as well. I will put it through a gentle wash to take out the markings in the next day or two.

Hopefully it will be up on a wall in our new house before the Christmas holidays!

Busylady, glad to have you back even if just for a short time before you are off again. I pray you have a great school year and are able to squeeze in some quilting along the way.

Carolej, good job, one more ufo out of the way.

I have decided to finish up my Egg Money BOM's and I guess you could call it a ufo since I am several months behind. I am doing a repro fabric and a Christmas fabric quilt at the same time, so I will eventually end up with 2 quilts.

Ann, fortunately the house wallhanging never quite became a UFO...it remained firmly in the WIP category. Guess why? Because I had a pattern to follow and I wasn't winging it on my own, like I am with the coffee mug quilt...<sigh> I NEVER LEARN!

I am jazzed that the house wallhanging is essentially finished! Just needs a button (to be a doorknob) and perhaps a few other small things.
