Okay, I guess I went brain dead again. Sandy, what is up with your arm? I am sure you posted about it but in my old age my memory is failing me.LOL I hope that you are feeling better very soon.
I still can't seem to get finished with that darn Christmas quilt. I keep getting side tracked by family and friends, I need to do some serious sewing very soon. I have a couple of charity quilt to get finished for tomorrows quilt group meeting so I know that tonight will not be the night to work on my stuff.

OMG! Sandy, I hope that your arm is on the mend and sorry to hear about the horse kicking your arm. My DMIL has 4 horses and has been hurt a couple of times, she was thrown once and broke a couple of ribs. As much as she loves those horses they have taken a toll on her from time to time.

O my! You all can start feeling sorry for me. I am going to be gone for four days walking with the Lord. That is a good thing. There are no phones, no TV, no computers. The bad thing, there is no sewing or quilting. I will have the shakes when I get back. LOL

busylady, you mean you can't even take some handwork with you? I am sure the Lord will appreciate your sacrifice.

Busylady - is this walk something like giving up something for Lent? I'm sure the Lord will give you much peace so that you aren't shaking by the time you get home.

Thanks for your concern. I havn't been online every evening, but the arm is a little more comfortable. I'm thinking that, maybe, when it's a little more healed, maybe I can sew some. LOL
Busylady, enjoy your walk. I'm sure Cindy is right about peace.

Sandy, so sorry to hear about the accident with your arm! Get better right quick!
I don't know what I am going to do with the coffee mug quilt borders. I think I need another pair of quilters' eyes to brainstorm ideas. I am stymied. So frustrating!
Have been consoling myself with my new skill: machine quilting. Using all the lovely YLI threads I splurged on a few weeks ago. I have been MQing my house wall quilt and I think it's looking pretty nice, considering I am still sort of a novice at this. I was always good at top-stitching when I was making clothes, I have a good eye for it, so I think that is helping a lot. I have most of the center areas quilted; today I will probably stitch in the ditch all around the narrow first border, to add some depth. I have had to rip out my fair share of stitches, but that's just how it goes...as ye sew, so shall ye rip!

Ann, will you be able to get some sewing in over the weekend?

Carole, I hope I can get to work on some of my own projects this weekend. I have 3 swaps that I need to finish up and am waiting for a couple of round robin projects also. I have not joined any swaps for awhile so these are commitments I made a few months ago. I am determined not to join any more swaps until I can get some of my own things done. DH came home yesterday and said his friend will be coming over to give me a deposit, on a quilt he wants made, in the next few days. I don't want to take on anyting else until I find out more info from this gentleman about what design and fabrics he wants.
Does life every slow down? LOL
