That's an understatement, Sandy. Our SewSew is a ball of fire. I don't know how she does it. I am almost finished with baby Hannah's quilt. I have to hand stitch about 3' more of the binding and put the label on it and then I'm done.

Re: UFO Support Group
Cindyg and sunsup, I do not work outside the home and have no little ones to run around with so I can devote lots of my time to what I enjoy best, quilting. I have said so many times before, "I have more ideas than I have time", but I do try to get as many of my ideas down as I can.LOL I guess that is why I have so many ufos to work on, but I do have to admit that I am trying to keep that number down by finishing at least one every couple of months.
If I only had a LA I could really crank them out.LOL I keep looking at that B-line frame to set up with a Juki, it would be better than nothing.

Well, I have finaly started on DD's quilt, card trick. I hope I don't take too long cuz there are 2 more quilts "waiting in the wings" LOL
Ann, I'm retired and don't have little ones around, so what's my excuse??? Is there a LA in your future?
Cindy, holding down a job I couldn't get any quilting done. I think your doing great. What's your next project?

Sandy, I am saving my pennies but a LA is still a dream. I had thought I would have a temp job to make some money to buy one until that fell through, they wanted a full-time employee after all. I think I will wait until Houston and see what is going on then, I would like to sign up to take either a LA class or just a machine quilting class, either way I do want to try more machine quilting other than just doing a meandering stitch.

SewSew - I have the B-line frame and Juki machine. The best thing about it is that you do NOT have to pin or baste your quilt sandwich. I think it saves time, beats trying to quilt on your sewing machine, and I no longer have to send my quilt tops to a long armer.
Sandy - I'm piecing a Tennessee Waltz now. After that one I'm going to make El's pattern Twin Sisters. One of these days I'll put together the autograph quilt blocks - the 1st one from this forum.

Good for you Debbie. Are you able to post a picture? Did you quilt it yourself, by hand or machine?
Cindy, that juki sounds pretty cool, especialy the part about no pins or basting. Ann, isn't that something you were thinking about/

Re: UFO Support Group
SewSew - we bought the quilting machine that was used to demo at the Houston Quilt Show two yrs. ago and got a discount. Had to go back downtown at the end of the show on Sunday evening and load it up and bring it home. It was from Bayside Quilting. He didn't want to have to haul them or ship them all the way back home from Houston. It's worked just fine from day-one. It does what it's suppose to do. I just wish I had more throat space. And I bet y'all wish I would stop complaining about that - LOL!

Cindy, the lack of throat space is the one thing that has kept me from ordering that setup. I also read that the B-line portable is only meant for a domestic machine and will not accomodate anything larger. I don't want to buy a setup and then have to spend more if and when I can afford a larger machine. I really would like something because I am getting tired of pushing and pulling my quilts trying to get them quilted with my Espire. It does a great job but it is exhausting trying to manuver those large quilts around.

Re: UFO Support Group
SewSew - if you can hold off until the Houston show they have all the quilting machines you could ever want to test drive. You can try them out to your heart's content. When I test drove the mid-arms last year I liked the HQ16 the best. I will be taking another look at the mid-arms this year....dreaming. I can't wait. Only 4 more months until the Houston quilt show. Oh, I called and inquired about the Nolting Fun Quilter and they said I can use that one on my B-line frame.
