Lee you are such a good girl! LOL I haven't even started sewing on mine. Wanna do them too? LOL Just kidding. I actually enjoy making these blocks. You are doing great! Keep up the good job. You are really getting a lot of sewing accomplished while in Ohio. It must agree with you.

BLOOD & SWEAT BUT NO TEARS YET

I have seen sewing these blocks being V E R Y careful. I only have the middle parts done. No @#*&^+#@#*~ triangles yet.
I have already shed blood (pin) and shed sweat (flushing bad today) but so far no tears. They will probably come when I start the triangles.
I'm so excited!!!!

Kadie.......just keep at it. Believe me, if I can do this block, anybody can. (I shouldn't be talking though, I still haven't started sewing these yet). I did accomplish making them for the first autograph quilt, so I know it is possible. Just hang in there, we all have faith in you!! Can't wait to get your block!!

Cathy, I'm not sure if I'm doing so much sewing because being here agrees with me or if I'm just bored senseless. :) I do like it here but I do have a lot of time on my hands when DH isn't home, which seems to be most of the waking hours. He's even at work today because they're running 3 shifts and he is the only supervisor. He promised to be out of work by 10. We need to go do laundry and do some paperwork at the BMV today so I hope he can stick to that promise.

Kadie- When I do my triangles, I find the center of the square and the triangle and pin them together. I usually use only 1 pin but you might want to do one in the center and one about an inch from each end. Then I cut the points off. If you leave the points on they tend to get jammed up in the machine when you start to sew, and that is really frustrating. Then sew from with the square on the top, triangle on the bottom. That way you can see where the seams are and it's easier to sew over them and make them go in the direction you want them to. Usually you sew with the bigger peice on the bottom but on this block doing it the other way seems to work better for me. I hope this helps you. :)

Leetec

That is exactly what I have been doing. I just completed the 1st block and I'm quite pleased with myself at the way it has turned out. Everyone has been so helpful and so patient. Have spent the last hour pinning the 1st lot of triangles on all the other blocks getting them ready to sew tomorrow. Not easy when you have a kitten sleeping on your lap!
My house looks like a bomb hit it, so I might have to do some guilt housework tomorrow before I start to sew and some guilt ironing (Yukky)!!
Thankyou to everyone for their helpful suggestions and support. I really do appreciate it.
Hugs to all
Kay 8-)))) (They are all my chins by the way)

I just knew you could do these blocks Kadie! Once ya get 1 made, they're not so intimidating. And we all had to learn by doing our first one.
