3rd Pioneer Sampler block

I've enjoyed the Underground Railroad blocks so much - and had never done a sampler quilt before. So I bought the Pioneer Sampler book in Nashville, and am anxious to try it! GP - no wonder you haven't been posting much - you have obviously been busy SEWING!! (Isn't that the whole point of this?? But we're so glad to have you back!)

GP we are going to wait for you to catch up. So take a deep breath so you don't have to give that seam ripper too much work to do! Anybody else getting their blocks done we would sure like a peak at them.

We, I hope your weekend went better than mine! Friday was 14 hours, Saturday 10 hours, Sunday was good, only 8 hours (mostly paperwork) and today was 12 hours and over 150 miles. I am so tired, I am not sure what my name is, where I live etc!! Got so tired of the on call phone ringing I answered it, "sorry no one is home, I quit!!" Mary from the service thought it was funny.

Where do you work?

I am hoping to work on my sampler tomorrow. I need something besides paperwork.

Ladies, thanks so much, but ya'll keep on your schedule with this sampler and I'll just catch up pronto as quickly as I can, I don't want to hold ya'll back. I am so thrilled I can't stand it....I am almost finished with my mom's birthday quilt, and even though it's late, it is so pretty! I used white minkee for the backing and talk about soft and cuddly! Wow! And minipeach helped me pin the layers this weekend for it and you would't believe how many pins we used! That minkee is not going to move an 1/8th of an inch! LOL! I'll tell ya'll something, I may just catch up sooner than I anticipate because minipeach is helping me do all sorts of things! I tell you, she is a blessing!!! Hope to post pics soon of hers and my latest projects. I was sick with a cold this weekend, but she and I still quilted our hearts out....oh what fun we had together!!!!

I worked 8 on sat and 8 on Sun. Sounds like you had it pretty rough. I actually do Medical Records in a nursing home but on call every 7th weekend to work the floor for fill in. Keeps up the skills and it's usually quiet. We don't have a lot of call in trouble.

Yea, I'm caught up. After I made those flying geese for the September block, using the measurements in the book, I realized that I could have used the new formulations for the flying geese ruler and it would have been easier. Am I the only one who didn't remember to do this? I have already made notations on the remaining blocks in the Pioneer Sampler book to cut the fabric and use the ruler when geese are to be made. Sometimes I'm a quick study (after being reminded) LOL.. Wesignificant and Little Bit your blocks are very pretty.
