Re: Egg Money BOM - Block Three - Turkey Tracks
Just finished this block. I noticed the template "C" was only a little over 3 & 1/8 inch, the strip was cut 3 & 1/4; so that was off a little. Then I was using a scant 1/4" seam but the points to match were exactly 1/4" Is it possible that these two things combined to cause difficulties. My block did turn out to be just a few threads shy of 12 1/2". I am confident that it is close enough to ease to fit with the other blocks. I am happy with it.

I still have not been brave enough to try this one out but I hope to get to it next week.
Grammy, I really love the colors you chose and your block looks great.

Thank you sewsew. I like seeing when the other gals use the brighter, bolder colors together, but I cannot put those types of colors together in the store. Makes me soooo frustrated. I love pastel type colors, (maybe that's the problem - I can't break out of the mold) but when I see the blocks/quilts on here in the bolder tones I really like them.

Wow, there are a lot of people signed up for this. How does the BOM work? Is this a swap of some sort? or does everyone work on the same block sorta like "misery loves company?" lol

Welcome Itchn2Bstitchn!
With this particular block you would be right on target about misery loving company! It's one of the harder ones and has "Y" seams!
What this is, every month we do a block from Quilt In A Day's Egg Money Quilts. Starting with Chapter One and working straight through. Breaks it down so we are not overwhelmed. No one sends their blocks anywhere, but we share pictures of our completed blocks and share stories. With this one it was stories of frustration. September's block is Chapter Four - Rosebud. Please feel free to jump right in. You only have four blocks to catch up with us. Several of the people on the list are not caught up because of summer activities and other swaps. You choose the fabric. For instance, I'm actually doing three quilts: Batiks, Thimbleberries and Reproductions.
If you look in the Photo Section, you will see SewSew's post where she shows all her blocks so far. It's interesting seeing all the color/fabric combinations and they are all pretty!

Please don't be worried to start late.... I haven't started block 1! Too much other things in life (like work) getting in the way!
