He SewSew...what a great space. After seeing your pictures I decided to go and take some before pictures of my space. Don't think I want to post them though. LOL. My room is in the looking-for-something-and-can't-find-it mode, and I have got stuff everywhere. But it also gave me some incentive to get in there and re-arrange. That is always so much fun.

I noticed in your fabric stash you have your fabric wrapped around something on the bottom shelf. What did you wrap it around? I have seen some plastic things advertised to wrap fabric around, but they seemed kind of spendy.

grammy65, I wrap my fabric around empty cardboard bolts from the fabric store. I cut them in half (11 1/2")and use masking tape to tape the cut section, then I fold my fabric selvage to selvage then fold to selvage and then make mini bolts out of them. I know that QIAD-Linda posted that she uses masonite from the hardware store cut down in sections to make her mini bolts. I need to get some more or the cardboard ones or try Linda's method for the fabric that is folded.

I am going to take the plunge and take a pic of one area of my studio and post it. Then I will have the incentive to get it cleaned and take a pic to show y'all of the after look.

That is if our computer system ever comes up today. Good grief - three 11 hours days in a row is gonna do me in!

SewSew...I kind of wondered it those weren't fabric bolts. Will have to call my LQS and have them save some for me. Great way to keep it neat and tidy....for a while anyway.

I loved your idea of using the file holder to hold rulers. Looks like a great sewing room!

Really nice sewing room and storage areas. My room is not that large but is a nice size. I have plenty of light also and an L-shaped sewing /work table with lots of drawers and 2 free standing white cabinets with doors on them and shelves inside for storing supplies, etc.

I like your closet storage and the fabric on the bolts! Good deal! No computer is in my sewing room...it is in another room, LOL.

Love the paint color you chose...very cool and refreshing!
