I've been scratching my head to come up with an idea for my block. I'm considering a watering can and will make a test block today.

Found a nice springy layer cake at MSQC so ordered that. Will start blocks when it get here.

I've been busy tweaking my watering can. Might have a photo ready later today.

VAL - you mentioned hot air balloons. Just to let you know, Mary Q is going another direction now so if you want to change your idea, the balloons are "up" for grabs!

Mary, I already ordered the fabric for the kites. MSQC has informed me packaging is done but it has not shipped. I didn't choose them initially cuz I thought they could be time consuming. Probably would have to applique. The Kites are very simple and since my time is limited I want to be sure and pick something I knew I could get done. But you never know, I may have a look see.

Just an FYI, fat quarters are 60% off at Joanns, not sure when the sale ends but there is also a coupon for (I think) 20% off your total purchase.

I will be using them as background for my flowers.

I will trim up and iron on my flowers this weekend, may even get a chance to sew some of them down.

CHRISS, thanks for the heads up! Saving money on fabric is always a good thing. I hope you get time to sew this weekend. I'm using a white TOT for my background and have ten squares cut. My parts and pieces are traced, cut out, and half are fused to the backgrounds. Hope to get started on stitching today.

How is everyone else doing? Got a plan yet?

Word from MSQC, fabric will not arrive till the sixteenth. I forgot how slow they can be.

This is my prototype for my block. Starting to fuse the sprinkling cans now. And honest! When I took the picture I was not laying on my side or standing on my head! Lol!!
