Good late afternoon from very sunny but cold, Sw. Pa....AND we're to get some white stuff later tonight and into tomorrow....If Mother Nature thinks she's playing jokes on us, it's really getting old....

Today was another lazy, purrrrfect day for me....Fur-baby (Baby Girl) left me sleep in, sat with my coffee and read the paper and finally got dressed and ran to do some errands and have lunch with my gal friends...I probably should feel guilty at being so lazy, but it sure does feel good....I did get the rest of my fabric for the porch backing...AND at lunch, one of the gals brought me a stack of quilt magazines from the Library...We have a section at our Library that has used magazines and when she sees anything quilting wise, she gets it for me....I am going to have so much fun, just going through these, it's almost like Christmas....We were celebrating one of the gal's birthdays and we shared a big piece of German Chocolate cake....Always a fun time.........

Chriss, I think one of my favorite foods is the left over turkey and stuffing...And I love, love pot pie made like that...I'm not a crust person and made that way is great....I think a little bling is OK on the jeans but most of them are over done, way too much....For sure, there is no way I'd want to draw attention to my "wide load"...And if Marilyn wants to change her middle name, I'd say, why not...Although her name, already, is pretty....

Maryz, been seeing in the news about the mud slides in the northeast and wondering if that's near you...Hoping you get through the wind and snow, safely.....

Suzette, I can imagine how frustrating it can be not hearing from the doctor...Backed up or not, someone should have made that call....I wonder if that doctor would treat his own mother that way....Just not right.....But, we have to believe it's going to be good news.....Just today in our mail, we got a $6.00 bill for a test that Jim had had done months and months ago....

Guess I'd better scoot....It is time to fix something for dinner or at least think about what to fix...Since I had lunch out, I won't be hungry and Jim usually suffers....He might just get breakfast tonight......

You all have a great rest of the day...............

I am back again. Lunch with my lady friends was GREAT! We went to a tiny cute restaurant, called "Soup'r Good Sandwiches". They are just a "lunch time" place. There were about 20 - 24 of us and I thought were would FILL up the place. I was totally amazed at how much seating room was inside!!! What good and tasty sandwiches!!!

We had so much fun chatting and visiting and eating. It was so much fun. It was so close to our park that four of the ladies decided to walk to the restaurant. The weather today is a chilly, cloudy, and misty day. No way was I going to walk in that kind of weather!!!

After lunch, DH and I went our to do our errands and shopping. Now it is just nice to curl up in my chair and watch some TV.

Hope you are all having a great day!!!

what a great day today.. I got all my work caught up.. I was easily a week behind... and I stopped at the fruit stand for some strawberries. Jerry already has them cut up and in the fridge and is now making shortcake...

Kath2... where is your gift card from? can't wait to hear what you buy...

Cindy... I often read your posts aloud to Jerry.. you make him laugh...glad you had a very relaxing weekend...

Tina.. it's a huge blessing to have a wonderful son and a car...

Maryq.. sorry about the snow... guess I shouldn't tell you it was 81* when I got off work... we are kind of settling.. denim shorts with embroidery around the front pockets...ok, in my mind it's a compromise...know what tomorrow is??? 10 more days.. woo hoo...

Diana, we so have the same fashion sense.. even if you don't think that your sewing is the greatest it's really fine for this group of girls... we all have different sewing abilities.... try the lotto or the secret pal swap... and if you're really up to making 20 blocks join a swap... you'll do fine and everyone will love your work... trust me.. they haven't kicked me out of the club yet..lol

Velda, I love the sound of a lady's lunch.. how fun.

Izzy.. I finally got Marilyn to wear a tank top under all her shirts.. they do make them thin,,, I have a couple of too low for me shirts and made a little tuck in the back of the neck... it raises the front up just enough for me... when you see how some of the mom's dress you can see why the kids dress like they do...

Kathy, sounds like you need a trip to Tx...and I think PINK or any words are equally as bad as bling.. guess I'm old fashioned.

Jana, we're supposed to get cooler weather next week too..

Judi, we are looking for a less blingy jean... I have seen some but not in her size...we are still looking.. and she is agreeable with less bling...

Sooz, what a cool hubby.. sounds like a wonderful get away.

O'Dorothy, come on over, we're having the last of the pot pie tonight.. I'll have Jerry set you a place at the table...

gotta go eat
