Luke woke me up this morning at 5 am. He was having a grand maul seizure. Poor baby, I just kept talking to him and telling him it would be okay. Kept my hand away from his mouth and kept petting him. Stayed down with him until it was over. After that for an hour and a half he paced and was very excited. Now he is back to normal. Of course, our vet is away this weekend. But we have an appointment on Monday and if he has any more we have the emergency vet to take him to. I can not believe this has happened. I have had two other dogs who had seizures so I know what to do. But he is only 3 yrs old. Sometimes they never do find out what causes them. My poor baby.

So we will be staying close to him until Monday when we can see our vet. I am working on a quilt I made all the blocks while I stayed in S. C. a couple of years ago. It is called Diane's Garden. When I was in New Mexico visiting with Mary and Randy, we went to a quilt store there and I saw this quilt. They did not have the pattern, so I ordered it on line. Now to get it all together, and quilted.

DD1 got a new job starting on the 14th at a new law firm. She is so excited, lots more money and a retirement, all kinds of benefits. This is such a god send for her. It will make her life a little easier. Thank you God!!

Well back to Diane's Garden. Thinking of all of you. Sending lots of love and cyber hugs.

Carole

Here in Big Bear, CA we got about 6 inches of very wet snow, with more to come. The good thing about the weather is business at our store is off the hook! Watch out those of you back east, the storm is heading your way.

Hello again Girls

It's just about nap time... I'm ready for a break! Got the whole laundry room painted! 2 Coats of Primer and then a really pretty color called "ocean spray"---now I just have to wait for the washer!
That room is so pretty I may never want to leave it! It's clean, which is more than I can say for the rest of my house!

Room mate went to Target and is now planted on the couch watching DVD's!!! She will wait til last minute to clean up her messes downstairs I am sure! AARRGGHHH. 30 days!

May even sneak into the sewing room later after nap. Want to make a practice lotto block and maybe work on Jen's quilt. I have the rows done, just need to put them together.

That's all the news from here!

Hope you all are having a wonderful day!

Minnesota, hope you get a better living situation. One that can least help out in some way.. Nothing more frustrating, when you work your hiney off, and they just lie there.. not contributing. Good luck!

Ok I looked through books for quilt block for my SP and through fabric to make it with. HUMMMM think think think on this one:)

Got another SBS block done took me an hour and then hung on wall an lo and behold I sewed the wrong color in one spot. Well guess what its staying that way its a PP 6 inch block I am not tearing it apart LOL

Sew now I am only 2 weeks behind last week and newly posted blocks to go. LOL PP take me forever but I really like the process and how the blocks turn out:) Just wish it were quicker.

Well DH and I were sexing the chickens in new coop and realize we have 6 roosters. YUMMY stew time maybe next weekend if nice. found 3 eggs in hen house YIPPEE their first lay for this bunch:)) Total of 8 eggs today and quart of milk.

Babies looking good and healthy. Got 3 boys at end of month to slaughter. I think I will hide out in sewing room when DH does that. Although I will have to process meat once he gets it all done.

I also cleaned my sewing room PP makes such a mess and I have done like 6 blocks in past weeks. Not to mention scraps everywhere from other projects. Got them all sorted by colors into bins:) Put away the rest of fabric into new boxes for given project. Swept up floor and cleaned off cutting table and sewing table and put up extra ironing board Shew what a mess it was. Ready now to start again on my mystery blocks. Hope to cut the blocks tonight:)

Working on supper fresh corn, green beans and some chicken. Yummy. Two loaves of wheat bread rising and now going to make pie crust for apple pie. YUMMY.

Getting really cloudy and looking like winter again. Was 50 today Dh chopped 3 more ricks of wood. Snow on the horizon for tomorrow night and monday. Oh me oh my. Hope not too bad I am suppose to leave for a conference in covington on wed for 3 days. Thats on the ohio/ky line and near river so they will get more snow than us. Glad I am not driving.

Well off to make pie.
