Good morning -

Still no chat time for me. DH's truck has a flat, it's -19 below and for some reason I cannot comprehend he wants to take it into Big O to get it fixed. He wants to use the air compressor to pump up the tire (it's a slow leak), but it's so cold out he had to move the compressor inside. My job is to supervise to make sure he doesn't stick his tongue to any metal...

Sherry - praying for your DH. Tina - praying for your dad.

I hope the rest of you are behaving yourselves!

xoxo Sharona

Good afternoon!

Been out and running in town today - banking, picking up grommets for the living room drapes and then dropping off everything at the company that is making the drapes and valance for me. Then had to be back by a certain time as the freezer repairman was coming - he has been here and it is now up and running - much quieter than ever before. Sarah will be down in a little while to sew here - whew I need a nap! LOL

FIL took another spill last night - again - he wants his independence, but is not willingly to do what it will take to get there - he thinks that he is just the same as always and doesn't need the physical therapy. DH is going over there today - hopefully will convince him, but I really doubt that!

Worked on the Mystery blocks - almost done and then back to the birdhouses.

Snow is coming later today - only a few inches predicted - but the storms are lined up out over the Pacific just waiting to get here - we need the snow!

Hugs and prayers,
Jana

Good afternoon from a very sunny but cold, Sw. Pa...I guess, compared to some, we're very, very lucky...Right now, the temps are nearing 32 and we didn't get as much snow and sleet as predicted....In our area, the counties are running low on the salt they use on the roads so we really lucked out on the last storm....But, who knows what we might get hit with this weekend.....

Izzy, now I have this mental image of goats showing up in mail boxes...Kathy has told me about some weird, interesting things that have come through the mail but so far, no goats.....

Kathy, good for you to start WW...I've heard that's the way to go but so far, I haven't gone....A few years ago, a friend of my DD went and by the time I saw her, I actually didn't recognize her...She looked wonderful.....

Suzette, maybe you're overdoing...You need to take it easy, try to relax..Drink lots of juice.....

Velda, you can hear the excitement in your post...You are so lucky to have a friend who is interested in quilting...Most of my friends love the finished product but haven't a clue about the shopping part...Very anxious to hear what you bring home.....

Cindy, waiting for results is sometimes worse than the test it's self...And I agree about men having babies and being babies....Will certainly keep DH in my prayers....And I'm with Chickie, I'll take "some" snakes over all this winter stuff...As long as they're not as big as the one they just caught in the Everglades.....

Karlene, I'm also with you in the hibernation mode...I see no reason to step outside, quite content to stay indoors..Jim asked if I wanted to go shop for a new stove and I told him it can wait.....Now, of course if I need to get to the airport, that's a different story....

From all the talk about the UFOs, I decided to do something about mine...I found 2 king size tops that I really, really like but hadn't gotten up the gumption to quilt them...One is the summer porch and the other is with embroidered blocks...I just need to set up the frame and get with it, right????But, I did make a new purse/tote bag and sorted through some yarn to crochet another afghan..So, I guess that's a start.....

Jim just came home from his busy, busy errands...He took our tax stuff to our gal, then visited with a friend, who is waiting for a call from the hospital...His son was having cancer surgery today...Then he stopped at our car dealer and had to get me a new key which now costs an arm and a leg...My set has disappeared and I'm kind of blaming it on the fur-kids...BUT, we've searched the house and decided, get a new one...To get the ones that have all those buttons, it cost $182.00 and the darn thing is made in China!
Just think of all the fabric I could have gotten for that....Heck, that's what I paid for my plane ticket....And you know what, we'll probably find the missing key one of these days..........

Oh well, best I get moving....
You all have a great day....
stay warm, stay safe............

Once again, I've just stomped on Jana.....I'm wearing my soft slippers so I hope it didn't hurt......

Good afternoon everyone. I am home today having to fast and drink that 4 liters of yuck for a colonoscopy tomorrow morning. My plans are to get the ughlies done today so I don't have to do it this weekend. I will get my quilting station set up in the living room for tomorrow evening and the weekend. If anyone knows how to get in touch with gmataz (Jeanne) please let me know. I have lost her phone number and need to get in touch with her to get her address. I finished the quilt I was quilting for her and need to get it mailed home.

Welcome to all the newbies I have missed meeting. Prayers for all, sick, traveling, fighting the bad weather, etc.

Break time is over. I'll check back later. Blessings

Mary/Rosebud

good afternoon....

I had this big long post (I really did) and poof it was gone.
Today was the first day Cooper had school this week. I thought I was going to have to buy some boxing gloves for him and Lucy.

Izzy....are you making a drive by my house on Thursday?

Farmchick....how are your pups? The kids got betta fish. We went to get a hamster and when they found out they bite..well they changed their minds. Guess who is taking care of the fish? Like I needed something else to do.

Chriss... how is Mar? She is growing up way too fast!! Did you know this is the year of the red and white quilt? If I ever get going on my birdhouse blocks you could start signups. I am so bad about waiting til the last to do them.

Irishgram....when do you leave for Florida? Where is the Schwann man?
Kathy....how nice to take cookies to your neighbor. I hope you find out who blew snow back on your driveway! You sound so happy since you have moved.

Well I am going to do a few uglies while Lucy is napping. I have been working on my birdhouse blocks.
I am so tired of winter. We have had snow, sleet, ice, rain and polar vortec temnps. I am not a winter person at all. I think the kids will go until June 6. They had snow days built in the calendar but we used them up. I think we have 4 days to make up. I just know that spring can't come soon enough.

I hope everyone has a great afternoon. I read the posts everyday.

Quick note. I need all of your prayers. Just came back from the hospital seeing my DH. He is not well at all. He is on a breathing machine, and his lungs are filling up. He has very severe pneumonia, and I hate to say it, but it is not looking good. Guess it is my turn to ask for prayers from all of you. Please keep DH in your thoughts.
