Lynn--you are so organized! I have always wanted to try beading on a loom. Actually, I've always wanted to try weaving on a loom, too. There are always too many ideas to pursue in my mind... Sounds like you are having fun! To bad about the ruler; times have changed so much.

Miriam - that is so cute about Odie seeing the curling iron! Victoria's cat has become her maternity nurse - she stays right by Victoria and has to be touching her baby-belly when Victoria is sitting/laying down. She walks at the same pace next to Victoria as she goes around the house, even up and down the stairs. I hope she is good with the baby.

Lyn - one of the things I wish I had gotten was a large bags filled with beads at a local thrift shop this summer. I don't bead, but I think I would have started if I'd gotten that bag!

Good, almost noon, from a very sunny and warming up, SW. Pa...What a purrrrfect day we're having here in the east.....Almost makes me want to go outside and do something, almost!
But, in this family, Jim can handle the outside stuff...Right now he's trying to get ahead of the fallen leaves (which I think is a loosing battle). I'm going to spend the afternoon in the sewing room and finish a few projects.....

Maryq, Happy, happy birthday...Hope you have the "bestest" day...62????You're a mere child....Enjoy your day.....

Maryz, Wow, sounds like you're going to have a great day...I don't think I've ever had a massage but think that might be a good thing for these old bones....And then to go shopping, it is good to be you....Remember me telling you about my gal friend that has the 3 Shelties?? She's the one that was just diagnosed with non hodgkins lymphoma...But, she is a trouper and a fighter and I'm sure she'll win this battle also.....

Karlene, That's special about the cat...You know cats can sense something is happening..I know when I'm not feeling good, I always have one on my lap or laying with me in bed....You asked about my "favorite" bug....We were pleasantly surprised this summer, didn't have nearly as many as we did last year...But, just a week or so ago, I did notice there were some trying to get into the house but now that we've had a bad frost, maybe they're gone...Boy, I sure hope so...When Kathy was here with her friend, he had never seen or heard of the little devilish bugs so I made sure I got one, put it in a baggie and gave it to him...Oh I hate those things.....But, I'm hearing, we're going to be getting a new bug, very much like the stink bug but they bite and leave marks...Also brought in from Asia....I've copied your apple dumpling recipe and either today or tomorrow, I'm making some....Jim will be in sugar heaven, once again.....

Chriss, I had to laugh, yesterday when everyone was talking about "poop" and you wrote about Grandma....After my late dear Mom had had a few strokes, that was on her mind, often....One day the Minister came for a visit and asked her how she was doing and she just looked up at him and said, "I'd be fine is I could just poop"....I almost fell off my chair! But, he understood.....I hate to think what I might blurt out when I get old(er)........

Vicky, I also agree with everyone else, time for the doctor/exterminator.....

Well, I best get my buns in gear and get something accomplished.....I can hear my machine calling me..............

You all have a great day...................

Good morning!

The day started out beautiful and bright blue skies - now it is overcast with snow clouds - we got some snow last night, but it has already melted off and so I guess that Mother Nature is thinking that we need some more!

Didn't get too much sewing done yesterday - Sarah came home early from work and wanted to go to Tai Pan Trading Co - oh it is a dangerous store - it is a home decor shop with all kinds of things to decorate your home with - I behaved and only bought a couple of things! Christmas stuff that just jumped into the basket. I taught Ethan who Santa was - and every time we walked past a Santa - he would point and tell me Santa! Teaching him young!

Not too much going on here - kind of quiet today - hope that it stays that way too!

We found a dentist for FIL. DH and the Assisted living will take him there tomorrow - the Assisted living place has a van that is wheelchair friendly and as long as the appointments for the Dr.'s are within 10 miles of the home, they will drive FIL there - so much easier for us - FIL is in PT to re-stretch the ligaments and tendons in his legs - they have shortened - then he will be able to stand and use a walker instead of the wheelchair. No other reason for him to use the wheelchair except that.

Well Little Boy is asleep and I can sew - as long as DH doesn't pester me!

Happy Birthday Maryq - we are singing to you! Enjoy your day!

Hugs
Jana

I talked to my mom this afternoon after her nap. She was touched that you all wished her a happy birthday and sent her hugs. Thank you so much! She had a tea party with my niece and grand niece this morning before they left to go home to northern Missouri. She also took a longer than usual nap this afternoon... I'm sure she was still recuperating from her big day yesterday.
