Good afternoon!
I think that maybe by tonight I will be in Kansas! The way that the wind is blowing now and "they" say it is only to get stronger later in the day! Michael has buttoned down the hatches - we winterized the sprinkler system on Saturday - took off the main valve and blew out the underground lines with air - no more water on here until spring! Also gave the lawn food for the winter.
I just about have the pillow sham that I am making done - that is, if Sarah will quit coming here with projects of hers that she wants my help on! LOL
Sarah has got me to add Pinterest to my list of things - it is addicting! Oh so much trouble that I could get into as well with all the things that I find up there! I found a blanket cabinet - that I have talked Michael in to getting for me - we will have the same company that built my tall bookcases build it for us - just adding glass doors on the front, rather than the solid wooden ones - then I just need to fill it up with quilts! That I can do!
We played with "Robin" on Saturday - my LA - just starting to get to know her - my class on how to do things is Nov. 20th - Sarah is going too - it is like going to the DR., two heads are better than one!
Sometimes around here, the Saturday before Halloween, the Ward does what we call - Trunk-or-Treat - you decorate your trunk of the car or truck and we park in the Church parking lot - then all the little ones go car to car to get the treats. It is lots of fun.
Did a no-sew Christmas wreath last night - it turned out OK - but the directions are not that well written - so I improvised - still needs a little tweaking - but it will do - not something that I will make dozens of! LOL
Tina - don't touch the tummy of Holly - she my just explode! LOL Soon, we are all hoping for!
Cindyg - BOING!!!! Going up and down the aisles is how I found the shop that I bought my LA from - if you got it at the State Fair - you got a larger discount - every penny helped in the price of that LA!! Enjoy Houston!
Dorothy - what fun to have Kathy home - the area around Reno proper is dry and desert, but go just a little West and you are in the Sierras and the trees and the mountains are beautiful. Lake Tahoe is just a short drive as well - my favorite side of the lake is the North Shore - no gambling - it is still in California - great place to camp, swim, and raft the Truckee river.
Need to scoot and get this sham done - the 5th game of the World Series is on tonight as well as Monday night football - the recall button on the remote will get plenty of use by me! LOL
Hugs to all
Jana
