Maryz - maybe when you go for your walk you should take a big roast with you in case you run across that bear!!!!! You can throw him the roast then high-tail it outta there!!! I'm so hoping you hurry and get a Sheltie. If the next one is a girl you'll have to name her Twixie (after the Twix candy bar - Snickers was a candy bar so....) Is there any way to wash that red thread before you use it? How awful that it bled after all that work. Glad you're almost done with that wedding quilt. I know you weren't real fond of doing it.
Scrapphy - Pat, you flew thru here almost as fast as Kenderosa!
Velda - OMG - the internet is now interrupting fishing. That's pretty bad! LOL Have fun. My ex-boss was here yesterday and said he caught a 27", 7 lb. Striper. That's pretty good. Not a big as some of those lunkers though. Gosh those are fun to catch.
Chickie - oh, how I'd love to have some rain. Now you are getting Houston weather - very hot and very humid. Fun fun fun! I only took one DD with me to the quilt shop and she was the last. She couldn't have cared less about quilts and fabric and all she wanted to do was go home so she could visit with her friends (pre-cell phone and IPad era). I asked her to stop whining. She didn't. I took her outside and made her sit on the curb until I was ready to leave. I have to admit I purposefully took longer than necessary in the store just to irk her. Mean mama. But she deserved it - I'd just been traipsing around the mall looking for the perfect pair of shoes for her and she didn't have to listen to me whine. So.....

Cindy, I heard from Jo recently her RA is giving her fits and she cannot type much, She does post in chit chat supper club, but does not come here much, I will tell her again we miss her,
Ferrals are wild outdoor cats,,,,they usually run from people...Some like our bunch are calm around us but will run if you approach. Ken was out in the hammock and momma walked right up to him and about 3 feeet away sniffed the air....probably looking for food. Yes I haven't seen a snake in my yard for a long time,,,,they will keep everything away including the birds. I actually like the snakes they get rid of the moles....which I have a big problem with. Ahhh country life

Re: Tuesday, August 6th
Good afternoon from warm, sunny, purrrfect, SW. Pa....It's one of those days, you wish would stay forever.......
We still have a busy house....And it seems the kitchen is open 24-7....And I can't believe how quickly the frig gets emptied..Next time they come home, I think I'm getting a cow!
Chriss, our bathroom is coming along...Terry has replaced all the marlite that had been on the walls and is now putting up wainscoting...He finished the one wall and installed the vanity yesterday and now is doing the rest....Next, we'll look for either wall paper or maybe just a border for right above the wainscoting.....And then we'll do the floor, probably put in carpet like we had before...I'd like to do tile but Jim insists on carpet so his tootsies are warm in the winter.....I'm so darn excited to get this done...
Vicky, that poor kid! But, he'll not forget to use the brake the next time....I guess everyone has "lost" a car at the mall at one time or another...Jim had a friend that did call the police and of course after much searching, they found it on the other side of the mall..Very easy to go in 1 door and out another and be completely turned around....
Oh well, gotta run....I can't stay away from the construction too long....I was complaining, he won't let me use the electric saw...I can use the hammer and that thing that squirts out the goo for the backing but not the saw...He's no fun at all!
You all have a great day.........................

Re: Tuesday, August 6th
Chriss I have some one yard cuts and then various sizes of scraps.
Thanks for the suggestion Cindy. I hadn't thought about it being harder to quilt if I use a lot of seams. Knowing that will help.
BBL to see if anything else is happening.

Re: Tuesday, August 6th
Hello, I am back to catch up on all the postings. I am adding my "two cents worth" kinda late, so many of you will not even be able to see this until you are back on tomorrow.
Yeah, funny to be able to go to internet during fishing. LOL My back is feeling almost normal today, so I needed to take a little break from casting so much. That is why I opened up my phone and saw that there was WI FI available. LOL. I always have trouble taking a break, because I always think, that next log on the bank will have a fish just waiting for me to cast over there to it.
We finally gave up and came in about lunch time. It was still so lovely out there with being cloudy and cool. Gosh, it was a shame to have to quit, but it was time to get "Willy" to land for going potty and all.
We took a lovely nap for about an hour after lunch, then I put a pot of chicken on to simmer. We are having noodles and chicken tonight. Can't wait, I always love that kinda meal.
It's now 4pm and it is really late for me to be typing my messages to you all. I know you have been busy with all your quilt projects. Mine will just have to wait till later in the week. Today is now gone and tomorrow after fishing, we will be going into town to do the laundry along with a few other errands. Then it will be time to clean up the RV again. I am just so very happy that my back is better now. Just need to be very careful with it and not twist it or do anything to get a set back.
Ok, now, time for me to just get off the computer for the day.
See you all again tomorrow.
Hugs
Velda
