Mel, they are really fun to make. I've just finished a Fall candlemat...my second. The next one I make will have embroidered Fall leaves and pumpkins. I googled other designs and have come up with some good ideas.

Happy hexing!!

I make very large hexxies, batting and backing and binding in one step...sew them together and you have a prequilted quilt. finished.

I got my "By Kate" hexie and diamond stamps a couple of days ago. Haven't had a chance to try them out yet...company is still here. DSIL will be leaving this weekend, so maybe next week I will get to play! I am so excited to try this method.

Thanks, again, Lucie for the tip!

Mel, I've just finished making a table topper with some embroidered pumpkins, fall leaves and acorns on the 2 inch hexies...they turned out great. I wish I knew how to put photos on this website. I've started pulling out my Christmas fabric and plan on doing some embroidery on them...maybe a candy cane, gingerbread man? Maybe I should look into the diamond shape.

There's a photo and directions on the Quilts and more Fall 2012 magazine(front cover) if any of you are curious.
I like the fact that there is a 1/4 inch seam line built into the stamp, very easy and fun.Check it out!
