Good Day (morning is already gone) :)
Boy, you are all soooooo busy.
Suzette: definitely you should enter your guilt - it is sooooo pretty and you did a wonderful job!!!

Teresa: you made a great choice for July Lotto, hope we get a bunch to join. It is so easy and the more entries, the more winners we get.
Hope you get all the other color choices figures out, too.

I am not spending much time here today. We are getting our new camper tomorrow, so I have a lot to do to get ready.

I can't wait to shop for my fabric for the July Lotto. I watched the video and it looks like a really fun block.

Hugs to all.

SUZETTE - it's a deal! I have to take my quilts to be dropped off next Wed, July 3rd. I need to start de-hairing them now, though. Lol! I've always been chicken and then I thought - what's the worst that can happen? I bring them home again. Which puts me right where I am now. So what the heck! it's kind of exciting!

Good afternoon from slightly soggy, semi sunny, warm, SW. Pa....How's that for a forecast???

Jim has gone to help with the elderly bingo, furbabies are all sleeping and it's so peaceful around here...Well, besides the chickens next door calling for their lunch....The young fellow next door is in that group (4H) that raises things and then shows...

Karlene, aren't those little raccoons the cutest? When I was growing up, I had one as a pet and boy was it a little devil...But, they are nasty buggers when they get old...We have one that visits during the night if we happen to forget and leave the dry cat food out on the porch....We also have young ground hogs that entertain us..They too are cute when they're small but when they grow up and venture near the garden, not so cute!

Suzette and Maryz, I think you both should go for it....From the pictures we've seen, you certainly have blue ribbon pieces....

Well, I think I'm going to grab another cup of tea and do some pinning on my scrappy...I was going to take it to the firehall and use a big table but I'm too lazy to walk down the street...My table isn't that big but I'll get her done......I am open for suggestions on quilting....I don't want to tie but really don't know how it should be quilting......

You all have a great day..................

Hello quilty peeps.

Just a quick howdy to let you know I haven't fallen off the face of the Earth! LOL Busy here at work...gearing up for the end of the Fiscal Year. Our furlough days start next pay period. Looks like I will have Mondays off--without pay--for the next eleven weeks. I just hope they get things sorted out so we don't have to be furloughed in the next fiscal year!

Billizzy, I am a KY girl, too. Born and raised in Lexington. My parents moved to, and still live in, Nicholasville. We live in Yelm WA, now. I sure do miss the beautiful bluegrass state!

Judi, hope they figure out what was wrong with you. I have to get started back on my paper-pieced blocks for my guild swap. Good thing they aren't due until the end of August!

Well, break-time is over...back to the grind-stone. Hope you all have a wonderful rest of the day. I'll pop back later.

Hugs,
Mel

Mel what moved you clear out to WA? All I think of is rain there from the twilight books LOL. My husbands aunt lived there before she passed also said lots of rain. I am about 90 min from lexington. I was there for a speech conf in march and saw my first UK game at Rup that was a hoot. Gal I was rooming with got free tickets awesome seats and then we got free food it was nice night LOL Unfortunately I am a UofL fan:) she made me change into something blue and all I had was purple with me LOL my sweater was purple and blue so I wore that over my purple turtle neck:) snowed while we were there too.

Well just went to milk oh my is it hotter than yesterday. It is so humid. Not to mention I am in a barn stall fighting off 7 hungry goats all wanting in stall LOL Aurora did her lil dooo all over the stand so had to sanitize and clean it before milking. Only bad thing we only have the one stall in this barn. Think I will have dh change part of hay room into milking room :) Went in there to get fresh hay bedding and all the goats followed food at end of hay room:) they just ate but I am telling you eat and poop is all they do LOL

Watching for my dogs led them out of pin to back woods to run a bit with my lower goats to eat. Probably wont return til tonight. goats already back in their pin--nap time for them. Keeping eye out so kitten survives. Mater likes to throw cats in air. Weinmaraners dont like kitties.

Ok back to cleaning storage room. Had my coffee. dtr time was fun this morning too:) Cant swim pool full of leaves gotta get my snorkle mask and net and go leaf fishing hahaha not to mention starting to get some ugly clouds moving in again.

Good afternoon! It’s too hot to be outside, so I’ve been downloading a few photos to share…

This is part of my front flower bed. DH put up the ladder to disguise the electric conduit and box.

This is my wheat “bouquet”.

My “wildflower” garden…

Some of the “flower wall”… and Odie supervising…

Some of my California poppies!

More of “the wall”…

Look closely to see what is interested in my lantana…

These little guys are getting ready to fledge… They are over the light fixture in DH’s shop and just above my garage refrigerator… They are barn swallows, and there are at least four baby birds although only three lined up for the photo shoot.

Thanks for looking!

Izzy—I love the name Aurora! I showed my DH the photos of her and her “nanny”.

Mel—good to hear from you!!! Don’t get caught in the grindstone!!! You get a day off without pay and 5 days of work to do in 4 days!!! The injustice of it all!!! If congress got paid for the work they did, they would have to get busy and cooperate!!!

Oh, Chickie, what gorgeous flowers! I saw the hummingbird! Had to look twice to spot him. Those three little birdies are just adorable. Great pics, thanks for posting them.

Billizzy, my DH was in the Army. He retired a couple of years ago after 30 years in. Washington was our last duty station. Two of our sons moved out here to be near us, so we have decided to stay a while! Yes, there is LOTS of rain! LOL We were in Germany for six years before moving here. When we got orders for Ft. Lewis, everyone said "Oh, you'll love it...the weather is just like Germany!" Boy, were they wrong....it was nowhere near as wet in Germany!

Well, lunch-time is over....gotta get back.

Later..........
Mel

Afternoon, all!

Looks like another case of 'I thought I posted' but didn't. Hmmm - I'll have to ponder this one.

We just got home from DH's echocardiogram. I hope that's the last time we have to drive to downtown Denver for medical care. Kaiser (our medical insurance) is opening up a huge new medical plaza for those of us who live south - should be done by the end of the year. Yay!

It was 102 out - nice and coo in. I think whoever invented air conditioning should be knighted. God bless him!

Need to go check on the dog - have a great rest of the day! xoxo Sharona

Miriam - LOVE the pictures!

Mel - I had been wondering where you were. Thanks for popping in.
