I'm very flattered!
When Carolyn started the birthday swap, I just started browsing different quilt block sites-- trying to choose my block. This block really grabbed me when I saw it, and I loved the colors they showed in the example, so I decided to go with it just as they presented it. I saw many other blocks that I also considered, but in the end, went with my first choice, and I'm very glad I did. I love the purple, lavender and green-- reminds me of hydrangeas-- which I dearly love. Also, these colors are the colors of my daughters birthstones-- February, June and May-- which is a neat coincidence that didn't occur to me until after I had chosen the block..
