Re: Thurs. Feb. 26th Sew-In
Afternoon all, today is much better than yesterday. I just wish I didn't have a headache... Yesterday while going out to pay a bill and do some shopping my van was hit by a lady running a red light. I am so thankful that all I have is a headache. It could have been much worse if we had been hit about 12 inches further back on the van. I probably would have spent the night & at least today in the hospital if that would have happened. As it was she nailed us in right in the front drivers tire. Poor police officer wanted to move the van to avoid other accidents and was not able to budge it because the tire was tilted. Today I had the privilege of jumping through hoops to get the stupid van towed to the body shop. Yeah, right, like they are even going to try and repair it!!! It is a handicap van and it is 12 years old.....
I'm just glad we hadn't gotten things upgraded on it like we were talking about. I would have been upset if we had gussied it up just to have it go to the junkyard!
In the 52 years of my life this is the first serious collision I have ever been in and I sure don't want to repeat it.
Give your loved ones lots of hugs today because you just don't know what is going to happen tomorrow.

I got that CD Sandy. It does have a lot and I haven't even begin to see all of it. The CD came with my machine so I think I did pretty good off HSN. Yes find your receipt to get that CD for sure.

Kenderosa, I put one of those magnetic snaps on my tote. It does tell you in the directions to put a pc of cardboard behind the snap to keep it from pulling through the fabric. I also put some masking tape of the ring they furnish because there were some sharp areas on it and I did not want them poking through either. It works very nice.

Thanks for the tip BarbieJean, I'll give that a try. I just had visions of the snap ripping off the lining and leaving a big hole. I like the look of the closure, kind of finishes it off.

Hi everyone well We went to the court house and my sis got married..it was fun then we went to lunch and had a delicious lunch....I am packing and packing and packing....And DH hasn't even started yet. I am just about done.
My neighbor(who is blind) promised to watch my house while I am gone lol...he is a nut. But his partner is not blind so he will do the watching....they are good neighbors.
I took my designer II in for it's check up and cleaning....does anyone else have separation anxiety about their favorite sewing machine??? I think the lady thought I was a"CASE" I kept asking questions about who would be working on it. My DH was just shaking his head.
Well BBL

My friend and I spent the morning picking up yarn...She crochets afghans for the hospitalized vets and also the homeless, so everyone gives her yarn...This afternoon we went to a luncheon with the ExPows...My friends late DH had been shot down over Germany during the war and had been a POW for many, many months...She quite active in all the POW functions and helps EX Pows get their benefits...Like I've said, she's an amazing person, a true inspiration....
I talked to my DH this morning and he was painting the bathroom window...We're planning to redo the bathroom so I'm not sure why he's painting, but I sure didn't ask...Another couple days, and he'll be here....
Enjoy the rest of the evening, everyone.....

Good Afternoon Everyone!
I worked today in the same classroom as the rest of the week. The teacher is sick and it has been so nice substituting. I am really hoping she goes back to work tomorrow and I stay home! I need to clean house and do the laundry. However as they say you gotta make hay while the sun shines!
I really think I may be a little too tired but I will try to cut out the strips for the tree blocks. As I sit here however I am falling asleep, dinner is heating so maybe I will take a nap after supper. I want to watch "Grey's Anatomy" tonight.

Quilter7 - I started watching Gray's Anatomy but it's a rerun. I was disappointed. Oh, well, I have more packing to do tonight anyway. I'm going to do it right now. Y'all have a wonderful evening.
