Thank you folks for all your praise - it was a pleasure to share and show off a bit - this block needed a lot of patience. I admire the Amish ladies to be able to make whole quilts using this block (see here:

That is gorgeous, you do such beautiful work and it looks so hard. you are quit talented. I feel like a beginner now.. and I have been quilting for twenty years on and off.No way do I compare to your work.. thanks for sharing this with us..
