Hi, gmaan! I agree, Cindyg's binding gadget looks like it would really make keeping the binding in place. Hope your DH feels better soon!

kho, your quilt sounds beautiful! Be sure to post pics for us!

:)

Ann, you GOT it. I'll send you Derreks quilt and the fabric I bought for the binding. Thank you of taking that off my hands, as you know how much I (not) Love to do bindings.

Okay Peach, ask Bill to please post some new pics of you and this hillbilly mansion of yours. And please, send me your new mailing address pretty please?

Hey Jeff is actually on his way home from the office, and NOT planning to work tonight. He needs to work from home most of this weekend though. <sigh> He's bringing me one of those frisby 'thingy's' from Del Taco on his way home, for me to eat. *YUM*
He sahould be home in about 1 hour or so.

OK, Susanna, I'll be watching for it. Should I just mail it to the Paducah QIAD store? And please, let me cut the fabric for the bindings. I do them a little differently than most people, I guess, and I have trouble unless I do the cutting. You've seen an example of my binding, so I hope it's OK the way I do it!

Good to see you, GP - and glad you are finally having time to do some sewing! We've moved so many times and it NEVER gets any easier!

Okay Ann, I won't cut he fabric for binding and leave that up to you, so you can cut it anyway you like to. Your way with doing the binding looks very professional.

Hmmm as far as sending Dereks Quilt to QIAD in Paducah,KY. as long as we get a picture from him showing his new quilt. Is here an AEl's Angel that lives close enough to go give it to him and take that picture?

Tell Paul to get better soon.

I wonder about bjgallo or wardfan? They both live in or near Paducah. There was someone else that posted very recently that said she goes to the QIAD store a few times a month - but now that we've lost some posts it may be hard to find her. I just can't remember who it was.

Hi everyone. Just popping in for a moment. I'm working on a quilt with quilt blocks and embroidery. I saw it in a magazine and had to make it. I made some Christmas stockings this week and also need to get the binding sewn down on a quilt. Binding is one of my favorite parts of the quilt. It's relaxing and you know the quilt will be done soon. Hope everyone has a productive night. Lori

Does shopping count for the sew in? LOL I picked up the cutest pattern today for DD's boyfriend - he's crazy about penguins.

She has to go with me tomorrow to pick fabrics, but I'm leaning towards doing the shorts in candy fabrics. I have to finish some star blocks for a block exchange - I chose the Harriet Tubman star from the Stars Across America book, and UFO's I could be working on ;-) Nahh, picking out the penguin fabric sounds much more fun!
