Re: Butterfly Quilt-UPDATED All Finished
Your quilt is very cute. If you still want to make it bigger, I would suggest adding a medium red border from one of the butterflies (maybe about 1 1/2 times as wide as the cute 'piano keys' border you have), and then use the navy blue butterfly fabric for a binding. If you leave the white border on, I would make it a very thin strip.
I love the way the pieced border looks. It ties everything together!

This is just cute as can be! I love it. Maybe conside making smaller butterflies and put them in as a wide border? A lot of work. lol Please show us a pic once you decide what to do. Again, this is adorable and very nicely made.

Well, my thoughts are:::::::::: I love the dark outer border ,dots and red dots corners. IT really makes the butterflys really stand out. YOU did a great job. You have my thumb ups.

Redsaltbox... I was just thinking about that... agh! I am not sure... also I am doing a pieced backing since I do not have enough length of fabric... I only have fat quarters and scraps left! I think I will be just cutting into 7 inch squares and sewing them together all mixed up... I guess a scrappy square backing...
I still need to sew on the buttons on all the antennas... they are red hearts... I do need to get busy huh?
Pat... you can't tell in the picture but the red cornerstone squares are actually flowers... the same flowers in the bottom left butterfly wings! I was being lazy with my borders... I just needed to get it done!
Cheers!
