Thank you Leetec
Do you have any idea of how much fabric we will need. Would it be about a yard of each? not including muslin.

Welcome Checkers! Here is what was posted earlier:

2 yards Through the Seasons fabric---Fall/Winter Collection in 1 or 2 color ways. Your choice, but a total of 2 yds.
2 yards muslin
Border - 1-1/4 yards
Binding - 2/3 yard
Backing - 4 yards

Hope this helps.

I had a thought just now as I was sewing my bullseye ecange blocks. If we don't get enough people for this swap, I know we will but just in case, we could still exchange the same number we were going to. But only sign the number that we have in the swap. Then we can use the blank ones to put sayings on or have our local quilting buddies put their autographs on those blocks. I've actually been thinking of doing one of these for myself so I can have my friends/family sign it before I go to OH. So if we get 20 to sign up, we make 40 blocks, sign 20 of them and send all 40 to be exchanged and do what we please with the 20 blank ones. This idea might need some work, what do you think, Nadine?

Leetec that sounds fine by me! I was thinking along the same lines are you are. Maybe I'll put my favorite Bible verses, short poems, etc in the empty ones or maybe do some embroidery on my machine....lots of options.

Leetc Hi great minds think alike I talked with GP awhile back and she sugested the same thing having us write sayings or whatever on the extra blocks for the exchange. I think our quilts will be beautiful I can't wait to have this quilt. Thanks for your suggestions.

Tiggersmom I love your ideas too. We won't have any problems filling those blocks up! Thanks

that sounds like a wonderful idea........would be so nice to "fill" this exchange, but we'll manage either way. Haven't started on mine yet but maybe I will this weekend. How many fabrics is everyone using in their blocks besides the Kona?

I'm planning to go to Joanne's tomorrow morning to buy 27 more yards of fabric for the rest of the curtains for the OH house. I want to have them done next week so DH can take them back with him. I'm picking out the colors for the curtains and he's going to pick out paint colors based on what I pick. DD says she wants black curtains and burgandy walls. Hmmm, we'll see... I made her quilted wallhangings for her current room but they are too small for the windows in the OH house but I offered to make her new ones in back and burgandy. Boy, did I go off on a tangent! Right now I'm half-way through sewing the medium circles on the bullseye exchange, so I'll finish those in betwen curtains, and then start the autograph blocks. I'm planning to go to OH starting Aug 4th so hopefuly I can get some sewing done there, too.
