I'm not participating in this one, but had a comment on the lost address problem. Why not include in the box a "mailing list" with the names of all participants and their addresses in mailing order. I could be taped to the box (if you're using the same box over and over) and cross off the names as you go so that it doesn't go back to the same person.

Just my .02 that I thought would help in this situation.

Jan, I think I should have enclosed at least my address in the box, since I was the hostess. As far as including a list of addresses, that is a good idea, but we had people that posted they wanted to join and then we never heard from them again. She has not posted in any discussions on the forum since she asked to join, just seemed to disappear totally.

Maybe including a list of e-mail address or phone numbers would be best, this way if someone wants to drop out of the swap, the box doesn't get sent where it doesn't need to go. Thanks for the input and it is definitely a good idea for the next one.

Ann, emails and maybe phone numbers would be the way to go. I was thinking we should include our emails in swaps. That way if the pm thing goes down again, we'll still be in touch with the others in the swap. Lori

Oh, Ann- You will have to take a picture of the contents of the box once it returns!!! We are all curious what fabrics remained in the box as it journeyed on to its final destination... and what fabrics were "pilfered" by the next gal on the list! :-) We're all eager to see the box's "final contents"!!!! Do share, Ann!

This was great fun! I'd love to do another but not until I'm somewhat settled in OH. :)
