Marilynsgrammy--

how was dinner?

DH bought me the laptop so I can take it all over the house. He's a keeper alright :)

Mary--you make me think I should make some table toppers too. They are SO nice!

mastifmom, dinner was great, DH inhaled it and then he got the hiccups.... serves him right... He came from a family of 5 kids, and if you didn't get to the food on the table you were hungry.... this many years later he still inhales, but he almost always tells me it was good...

Back in the house...I just sent some photos to the photos section of my most recent insanities.

Susanna, so sorry to hear you are feeling so awful. I hate the moodiness and the emotional stuff of perimenopause; at least the pregnancy craziness has an end in sight. Saying prayers that you will find some solutions soon and be feeling better ASAP! Have you considered having hormones tested by saliva (spit) tests? Just a thought.

Marilyn, there is only about one medium-size serving of the turkey salad left--funny your DH is sick of it already, or doesn't he care for it much? We LOOOVE turkey around here! After the holidays we always ask each other why we don't have it more often during the year.

GP, don't worry about being scalped...you know we all love you and there would be quilts raffled off and donations pouring in to buy you a nice wig or two--! Oh my God, you are a riot!!

I had a bit of wine after dinner so probably shouldn't sew any more tonight. Or maybe in an hour or so I will be sober enough to cut strips for the border of the bunny quilt...actually, knowing me, in an hour I will be dozing off on the couch--LOL! I am definitely more productive during the daylight hours!

I would love to post a picture, but will have to wait until after Dec. 18 since it is for my secret santa gift. When I get DD#3's done I will definitely post pictures. I ran across the directions in another website and it really went together fairly quickly. I think I will have DD's finished up by tomorrow so I will post pics then.

Susanna, it's amazing what can affect how we feel, things you wouldn't even suspect were even related can be the culprit. I sure hope you can get a diagnosis soon and find out what's wrong and how to treat it. I feel so bad for you!

Mary, that tablerunner is cute-cute-cute! The plaid just makes it pop and is so cute and Christmasy!

MM, as soon as I post this my mom will read it, but anyhooooo....that's part of her Christmas gift from me, apron and matching potholders. She doesn't like 1930's (those are a fav of mine) but I have some wild fabric that's more her style! At least if she reads this she won't know what fabric I'm using! LOL! The pattern I have out tonight is for the oven mitts, real easy and real cute. My oldest son is a Nascar fan and I have a boxer shorts pattern I got from QIAD, going to make his out of flannel Nascar print with Jeff Gordon's # on it. Youngest son is a golfing fanatic, so golf fabric for his. Don't know about DH's yet...maybe those kissy lips or something???!!! I'm liable to get clobbered with those gifts! LOL! Oh, another fun gift I have made in the past is those "bed buddies" they call them, the flannel fabric with rice filled and you heat them for 2 min. in the microwave.

Carole, We do like turkey, but this year I made something with turkey for almost a week.

Usually around labor day, which is when our local fair is, we cook a turkey and have the family over. Our grocery store has a deal before Thanksgiving... spend 99$ and get a free turkey, so we have the free one on labor day... it is begining to be a tradition.

I love those rice filled things that you pop in microwave. I have one my old boss gave me that has lavender in it too. It's dreamy.....

Chriss, I eat really fast, too, a habit developed from years of working as a nurse. If you don't bolt your meal, you may not get to finish it, or worse yet, you may not get to eat at all--!

I am used to it, though, hardly ever get indigestion or burp (though my family will tell you how often it comes out the other end--LOL).
