this mornings show was like 2 hours Oh My it was on and on and on with all the different techniques. got our moneys worth today for sure:) I was a bit overwhelmed. I also was working on computer as it played on my ipad;) lol so was multi tasking.
I too love the baskets. I would love to make that one first:) but my handles are gonna be scrappy too if I do.

I didnt stay up to watch last night. Sally how did it go. I really wanted to see everyones dresden:) and all the quilts again:)
Izzy
did you all notice there is a new template for our dresden in this pattern. I cut my points with my dresden ruler and knew it was off. I guess they caught it too:);

I am confused about something...is the only way we can make the basket in the new pattern by buying that 60 degree ruler?...I don't recall this has happened before that it would be required to make the pattern....usually instructions and templates are given if you do not choose to purchase the ruler....I am disappointed....Sonya.

Sonya I relooked at pattern. You can use any 60 degree triangle ruler if you have one. I have one and it has same lines on it and plan to use it to make these.

I was having a terrible time finding the right color ric rac . My joann's was no help . So I looked in my sewing closet and found some that I think will work but very old brand new in package though It sold for 17 cents LOL LOL I actually bought at an auction several years ago. I need to start going to auctions again.

I didn't see the show, but most rulers also have a 60-degree line on them. I'm sure you can use El's directions and use the 12" ruler with a 60-degree line.
Katy and Izzy--I have some old trims that Mom gave me and some I got at garage sales. My DD also has some from auctions. They are so much fun! The quality of the old trims is frequently nicer than the newer ones, too. I love looking at the prices of old buttons, too.

Thank you, Izzy and Miriam...you are both right...if my brain wasn't in overload right now I would have been able to figure that out on my own...thanks for being here for me..
I, too, have been blessed with vintage lace and Rick-rack...and am looking forward to making the basket quilt...I may use the rest of my gingerbread fabric...and put little gingerbread cookies in them...how does that sound, Katy?...
Sally...I LOVE your quilt...that background is perfect..
Thanks again....Sonya

Re: 2015 Block Party Quilts from the Attic
show lasted a bit over 2 hours--El was a bit giddy and made some bad sewing mistakes (always a hoot!) My quilt (well, 9 blocks of it with sashing) was on wall behind her. Hope it looked good on computer screens!
3 different fans (and she has another pattern with template ruler from last year!) May have to do a 'modern' quilt with all three......
