El's Comfort Quilt-Blocks Due Sept. 26, 2015

I just received 3 more blocks today. I'll start squaring them all up after work Friday and Saturday. If all goes as planned I will start laying them out and sewing them together Sunday afternoon and Monday while I do my laundry.

Two more packages arrived today. We are at 12 left waiting to reach me. I have started pressing the ones that have arrived so they will be ready to square up this weekend.

Okay, today 2 more blocks came in the mail. This left us with 10 to go. Eight have been mailed and just waiting to receive them, one cancellation due to family situation, and one no update yet. I really do hope we can get an update soon as there are only 2 days left for me to receive them.

Oh I agree, Chriss...I think it's amazing to see so many whom we haven't seen post for awhile make a block....and I know of quite a few who went out of their way although they may not have felt well or had other obstacles that may have stopped them....There are even some that are new to me I see...

And as huge as this project is....look at the overall success!...WOW!

It is so heartwarming to see how so many of us came together to do this for Eleanor.

And to know she is home with her family doing alright....

Oh Sonya I so agree with you!!! Life here has been crazy busy but I just knew I had to make EL a block. She is such a giving person all the time and I wanted to give a lil back!!

Welcome home EL and I sew hope to still see you in Paducah!!

Five blocks came in the mail today. There are three still floating around out there (hoping they will be delivered tomorrow) and one still waiting for confirmation that it was made and mailed. If anyone out there knows Mummsy, please contact her to find out if she made and mailed her block. If not, and it is not in tomorrow's mail I will have to proceed without it, and that makes me sad that it would have to be left out.

Chriss, Sonya, and Izzy thank you, but this is a God thing. I figured someone would offer to do it long before I got home from work the day help was requested. When I got home there had been no one offer. I pushed the thought out of my mind for a little while, then when I reread the post God put it on my heart to step up and offer to lead the group through making the blocks and get the blocks pieced together.
