Re: Peaches at her best
Many people have said that orange tabbies are the sweetest kitties-and I tend to believe it. It's funny that both Tiggersmom and I have our furbabies in our screen names too!
One thing about Peaches-we don't call her fat and we never mention her tail. She was a pound cat, full grown when we got her 18 years ago. Her tail is missing the last third-and she still can't stand to have it touched. Never tried to cut her hair-she'd probably die of embarrasment.

I got Tigger at Petsmart where they put our local pound kittys that are older. He was only about 2 when I got him.
Your poor kitty's tail. Do you think somebody '''docked''' it or was she born like that?
Well in spite of that she must be a very special kitty personality wise. I had heard too that orange tabbies have the best temperment. Don't know why, but I'm sure others would argue with us and I'm not being prejudice but I think so cause I've had other kittys and they didn't have the personality this one has.
DH gave me a really strange look when I told him cats live to be 20 years.......[he is Not a cat person} so we have lots of years left in Tigger!!!!! They get to antagonise each other for a long time to come!!!!!! LOL

My DD has a orange tabby named Sassy, I think she's 10 years old and she also has a great personality. I always laugh when we're taking a walk and she follows us while trying to look like she's not. She always seems so surprised and amazed when we just happen to end up right where she was planning to go in the first place1
the only problem iwth Sassy is that she won't let me have the black cat I've always wanted. Every single time I've brought home a black cat she's chased it away, even if it's a male. We'll probably get a new cat for the OH house, so we think we'll get two so they are used to each other from the very beginning.
DH's DM has a cousin that had two cats over 20 years old. One of them died recently but he other is still going strong.
