Valerie, I've done a partial seam block before and was amazed at how easily it went together. I know I can do this one too. And I completely agree, a pretty quilt full of blossoms will be had by someone who will smile every time they look at it. I may have to give it a shot tomorrow, not sure it will happen today.

I found some already washed fat quarters in my closet stash, in light spring colors. And darn if I didn't find some fat quarters florals at $2 each at the Quilt Show. I needed to wash the flannel backing I bought a week ago, so tossed fats in to.

Val, this block looks interesting, but I just won't be able to join this month. I don't have suitable fabrics with me plus we are going back on babysitting duty every day until we leave Feb 15th. Then we'll be on the road until the end of February. The few weekend hours I have available I will be trying to make as much progress as possible on a project I started yesterday. I'm sorry to miss a month so early in the year but this month, that's the way it is. But I will be watching for all the beautiful 'flowers' as they bloom!

Val, I noticed your block is a little different than the pattern. The pattern shows the center matching the petal color going out, and yours is opposite. Is that on purpose?

It is because I am using scraps and putting them where I think they look better. I can switch to the other way if you think it looks better

They are so pretty Valerie! I haven't gotten to start yet, I ended up getting sick with something. I'm always afraid to make others sick so I don't want to touch my fabric while I'm sick, I don't want to pass germs around. I'm feeling better today than yesterday and if it keeps up maybe this next week I'll give it a whirl.
