I have one done! Then the good weather, weeds, and company got in the way. I plan to make a few more today.

I'll get to more of these today. I went and bought a FQ of background fabric and can get started.

Do you want us to use tone on tone for background squares? Off white, tan, or what shade are you seeking? Are solids allowed??

Light backgrounds, can be tone on tone, small print (not too busy), solid okay. Background color should go well with your other fabric. As long as it reads as the "light" fabric. I don't want to be so restricted that people either don't participate or feel they have to go buy fabric. White white probably not ok as I don't see it as male. Mine is sort of a marbled light beige.

I have four blocks made. Will get them in the mail tomorrow.

Very nice Mary. Those browns will even out the blues nicely.

I have one block cut and ready to sew. I was a little bit afraid that I might have cut using the wrong directions. Whew! I did a double check. I did it the right size. Whew!!!
Might only have one to send. It's early yet. I might figure out another color combination and sew another later. Will wait and see.
But at least I have one! Or will have, once I finish it. Nice easy block! Hope more gals will give it a try.

Just to let you know, I got my block put together. You can see it pinned up on my wall in the picture I shared in "Photos" of my humble little sewing room.
Now I have to go back through my leftovers and see if I can find some pieces to do another block.
