Late, late, later here.

We got back from camping yesterday and today we are sore, sore, sore. We hiked 5 miles Saturday, 2.5 up and 2.5 down, going from 6500 feet to 8000 feet. But the views were beautiful and the forest so quiet and green. At the top of the mountain our view was obscured by smoke because the forest service was doing "controlled burns". At least the winds were blowing the other way and it didn't ruin our camping. The forest service was also cutting down lots of the dead trees that have died from the beetles and drought. These were threatening to fall on roads. DH spent most of today trying to fix the dumping macerator so he could dump (we have a cleanout at home). It kept shorting out. Finally he had to go an hour into Fresno and buy a new one, then rewire it on. But it did work and he finally got the RV cleaned out.

Meanwhile I went off to my first machine quilting class. What a laugh to see how bad at it I am. My bubbles are all shapes but round and I felt all thumbs. It will certainly take some practice for me to just get the basics. Have my second class Oct. 18 so I do have some time for practice.

Tina - prayers to your parents and you, that Hospice can help.
Chickie - I love all animals too, and had at least one of each, but never got bigger than a lamb.
Irish - You sound so happy and busy now.
MaryZ - Happy ocean camping! DH has actually said we could go south to Visalia and check out a campground that the contractor recommended. It has to come from someone else, or become his idea, then we will do it! Anything from me is a knee-jerk NO!
To all else - Have a wonderful week.
