2016 Block Party, Eleanor Rules (El's Rulers in Action!)

You will get a 16 page pattern via mail a few days before the live broadcast. We usually get an email with a link to the live broadcast. (I actually drive 6 hours one way to go to class and visit El, and watch online when I can't make it.)
You can watch class in the morning and/or evening 'live' and as often as you want via YouTube about 1-2 weeks later. If you happen to be in the San Marcos area on the second Tuesday of the month you can pop into class free. Lots of fun. $54 total for 12 separate patterns (reg. cost $108)
This year will be 12 different quilts. Hope you can join us--if you do please post pics of your blocks/quilts. (One year I made a quilt a month from 'Calendar quilts' plus an extra block from the monthly pattern and made a sampler quilt at the end of the year. May do that again!)

Believe it or not, this BOM has me intriqued. I haven't done any of these for a good number of years. I have participated before and enjoyed them, then things went bonkers in my life circle and I had to give up some things.

Are there lots of people signing up? Have to think hard about this, but would really like to be connected to El and to this wonderful group. I'm an old-timer; I was nearly one of the "charter members" of the group. Miss being apart of the Forum. kittyquilt9292/ a.k.a. Carol

A question about this BOM:

Is it possible to make the monthly quilts without the exact ruler? I have a lot of QIAD rulers, but I looked at the cost of the rulers and that kind of put me off. Any infor will be appreciated. Thanks

So many QIAD rulers can be swapped out with others. Geese, 54-40 star, etc. the web site will also offer the rulers at discounted prices.

Since El usually shows us how to make the blocks without her rulers, I suspect you'll be able to make these without buying any of them.

YAY!! Jerry got me this for Christmas. I am so ready to get started, I cant' wait to learn how to utilize my rulers.
