Don't fear paper piecing! Embrace it.....it is fun! Once you get the hang of it, you will like it.

Here is a link to the tute:

***Definitely recommend getting an "add a quarter" ruler....also recommend using the fold back card. I actually made myself a "card" out of template plastic. FYI...The ruler comes in a six inch and a twelve inch size. Silly me, I bought the bigger one first. Went back and got the shorter one as I find it easier to use...even on bigger blocks!

Have fun!

When doing the tiny paper pieced blocks for B9 combination star use a 1/8 th inch seam allowance for less bulk....I have a 1/8th inch add a seam and a 1/4 add a seam. both make it a lot easier to do. these are easy paper pieces they are just tiny.

Judi--I really like your blocks. I got started today and made the cornerstone block and did the paper piecing for the other one. Somewhere in the middle DS3 called and needed a ride to pick up his truck at the mechanic in a town about 10 miles south. DH was going to do it, but I volunteered... my motive was a detour the long way home to the LQS for more Kansas Troubles fabrics. I was not disappointed. A new shipment of their new line had just arrived... I also picked up a few more FQs to use in my Farmer''''s Wife quilt. While at the shop, I signed up for the BOM that starts next month using KT fabrics. Now I have a purpose for going to the LQS every month!

I like these blocks taking paper piecing a little at a time. I''''m still somewhat dyslexic at it, but so far so good.
