Re: Sunday march 9th, 2014 HAPPY DAYLIGHT SAVINGS DAY!!!
Good morning,
Sitting here in Church, waiting for the meeting to start. We have to be here early, to get a seat and to get the Ward bulletin out for everyone. I am taching in a little while as well.
Not much going on here - I have twelve new grands! Baby chickens that is -Sarah has her new babies - Ethan has already named one -Birdy - watches her run and holds her very gently too. This will be a interesting venture!
Worked on my mystery blocks, got them caught up - now will get a head start on this month's - 96 4patch blocks to make, then cut up! My swap blocks are ready to go too.
Beautiful day here, sun is shining and we will be in the 60's, but tomorrow is a different story. Another needed storm is coming.
Well, Church is about to begin,
Do something fun!
Hugs,
Jana

Good morning...
Sherry, hope you got the Beagle... it's ok to talk to yourself..I do it often.. although you probably shouldn't measure sanity by me...lol
Kathy, glad WW went well.. I wish I had your commitment..
Cindyg.. sorry I didn't get to take you to Judi's.. Marilyn needed boots instead... and it looks like you and I could have had scrambled eggs for breakfast... boy that Judi owes us a rain check...
Maryq.. you sure are going to have a new house when it's all over.. what fun...I wish someone would come re-do my lighting.. seems like where ever I am the light is behind me... ugh
Lyn, glad there was an upside to seeing your house..
Joan, good to meet you, keep coming back... I stipple from time to time too but am always chicken to get started.
Jules, glad you got to see your sister.. you are a good sister to help her through all of this.
Teresa, looks like Spencer had a great birthday, wish I had some of that cake...looks wonderful.
Chickie.. funny, I am catching up on posts and yesterday you said what beautiful weather and you were looking for new calves.. today it's freezing rain.. so unpredictable...
Maryq.. I read the daily posts from the bottom to the top.. so I don't usually know who posted till I get to the top of the post to see who wrote it....make sense? I often mention something to Jerry from reading all the posts in this thread.. and he asks, where's she from.. well, it's usually you and I say Minn, he always says.. it's cold there...this has been my and Jerry's conversation for quite a while now.. do you think you could get some summer weather so he and I can change it up a bit..
Jana, glad Ethan named the baby chick birdy... pig or cow just wouldn't work and he'd get picked on by all the other chicks.
my exciting day will start as soon as I get my hiney in gear.. I will do grandma's grocery shopping and then my plan... which seems to not pan out lately, will be to get some sewing done.. I sure would like to have my red and white blocks going and get my SP block done.. the plan is for today.
you all have a groovy day,
Chriss

OK! Did my share of removing snow around house, for today! Many have broken underground pipes that carry water to homes, where water is cut off till repaired, pipes inside house, freeze due to cold snap.

Re: Sunday march 9th, 2014 HAPPY DAYLIGHT SAVINGS DAY!!!
good morning all! Good news. I went and saw the Beagle at the Rescue Farm and brought him home. They rescued him from a shelter in Kentucky along with 3 other Beagles that were going to be gassed the next week. His name is Otis and he is very gentle and cute. I can't believe how well he has adjusted in just 24 hours. He slept all night on the bed beside me. He likes sleeping on the bed or sofa so he can stretch out long ways. The shelter told the rescue farm that he was 6 years old, but I am sure he is older because he has a lot of grey hairs. I don't care. He is so gentle and calm and he can stay with me in his Forever Home. Even after he came to the Rescue Shelter no one wanted him because he was old. They told me that Beagles are so hard to place and many do get put down. We have had 4 now 5 over the years and they make great pets.
Teresa - Happy 5th Birthday to Spencer. he sure is cute. Hope your tooth feels better soon.
Jana - I have to work on my Mystery Blocks also. I am so far behind. May-be things will slow down for a while and I can get caught up.
FarmChick - Sounds like you are going to be quite busy.
Judi - Hard to believe your trip is almost over. Think of me while shopping at the Quilt Shops. I know what you mean about Grandkids. With my son in the Corps I am lucky if I see my Grandsons once a year or two. They are in Okinawa now, but will be home this Summer. Thank God for Skype.
Velda - Take care of your cough.
Chriss - Hope your plans for today work out.
Maryz - Sounds like Scottie is really growing. Look forward to new pictures of him. I need to learn how to post pictures so I can show you all some of my stuff.
Suzette - You have so much ambition for quilting. I love my cross stitching as much as my quilting so I spend time on both of them. Hopefully things will slow down now so I can get back to quilting. I have to finish my son's quilt and get it sent to Okinawa soon.
Vicky - Take care of your back.
Jules - I am sure your sister is thankful for all her relatives support. I can not imagine what it is like to lose a child or what I would do if one of my sons died. It was bad enough losing my DH last month. I know it will take time to adjust to that. I will keep your sister in my prayers.
Joan - Welcome to our group. You will find that this is a very good group of people. We support each other in all things good or bad. if you need to rant feel free. We are always here for you. I am going to go look at your pictures.
SusieQ51 - Loved the goat castle. Love to know where it is located.
Well, better go and get dressed. I didn't go to church today because I didn't want to leave Otis alone just yet. Hope everyone has a good day. The sun is actually shining here today. Thank You God!

Today is pretty again. I'm off to mend fence with DH while the laundry is washing... We will check for more new calves while we are out. It's almost 40 and going for 60. This is crazy weather.

I am pretty proud of myself. I got my Secret Pal block done and have finished the binding on the baby quilt. Had to take my son to the Urgent Care a few hours ago. He woke up during the night with a bad stomach virus. They gave him something for the upset stomach but also told him that the other part will probably go on for another few days. Well, I just found a load of clothes I left in the dryer yesterday. Better go and put them away.
