I started sewing together my flowers today. I am having a terrible hard time with them. Does anyone have an idea how to do it without the wrists hurting so much. They are too large to hold in my hands and sew at one time. Any ideas are welcome.

Thanks,
Vicky

Vicky I sew mine together with a pillow on my lap....resting my hands and wrists on it, I have carple tunnel syndrom and this helps with fatique and pain....I have a friend who also has this problem and she puts a zip bag of ice wrapped in a towel inside the pillowcase and when needed rests her wrists on it for a few minutes...hope your pain goes away.:)

Vicky thanks for starting this thread. What a great idea. I like your bright colors. Very pretty.

Judi, love you colors and your organized box. I need to get something like that to keep everything in.

Jacquie, I agree with you about hand sewing very therapeutic. Like your pattern.

I'll have to put mine up on the design wall and take a picture.

My Grandmother made these blocks from her clothes. My mother gave them to me about 8 years after she passed and I made this quilt and gave it to my mother.

Lori, your quilt is beautiful. Great effect with the reflection in the mirror as well.

Hi, I just finished a candlemat made out the hexies. I started small because I didn't know if I'd like the process. I'll post pics when DD#2 comes over.

Here is the way I do my Hexies...www.bykate.com go to CLICK HERE for the tutorial. It's a stamp! Lots of fun too. Several ladies at the Senior Center have been bitten by the Hexie Bug. I have to keep playing with designs to see what else I can make...not sure if a quilt is in the near future.

Take care, Lucie

Thanks, again, Lucie for the info.
