Hi Sandedaisy, I'm sorry you have a hard time with EQ6. Experience with any graphics programs helps.
I will be happy to help you learn what I know about EQ6. Just PM me when you have questions.
Thanks for commenting on my EQ designed quilts.

Bought EQ5, laptop, computer desk kit, found it loads of joy! Print out my inventions, till printer ink catridge needed replacemnt. Then attached a scanner. Place pictures in quilts, via use of throw away camera film. tons of fun..Still have some tiny woes on embroidery section, not working 100%, but happy of my purchase, and have since bought, Angle Block's from H&R quilt shop in GForks. Now, I'm broke and need a new version sewing machine.

Recommend EQ6 to all who wish years of enjoyment, by looks of some of your pictures, you could probably wonderful quilts via EQ6..

Going through the manual is a little hard, to concentrate on reading it all..We just want to have fun designing, not reading the book..If I can be of some help, ask US...

I just took a course for EQ6 at a local shop. Our Instructore had suggestions for us to make it easier to go thru all of the lessons in the book.

1. take all of your manuals into KINKOS and get them spiral bound...it makes the manual much more user friendly and there is no longer a need to break the spine of the manual.

2. Glue a cd disc envelope into the back of the manual. On this envelope sleeve, write the serial number of each of you EQ6 (and your prior EQ programs on this so that you always have the pertinent numbers at your fingertips when upgrading or reloading to a new computer.

3. Last but not least....use the EQ online site. It has numerous help and creative ideas. Other users and the developers of EQ are always checking the site and many times the developer will contact you to walk you thru your issues. They are also always up for suggestions on how to make the program even better

I have EQ6 and love it. I have used it to help design quilts and I make all my labels on EQ. My friend and I are making the Pioneer Sampler and I scanned my fabric into the program and made the blocks so I could make fabric decisions before I cut anything out.

I am the proud owner of an EQ6. I haven't looked at it yet. I have to put all my fabric away that I bought in Paducah. I bought 103 yards in El's Fabric Tent. All I can say is I am in HEAVEN.

EQ7 is ready for preorder and will ship in June....

I have EQ6 and I have not learned how to use it well but I can do a few things. They told me that EQ7 is a bit more user friendly, I guess I'll see as I placed my pre-order yesterday.
