No Sharon - it was not hard to do. The pattern directions were perfect. The one thing I didn't do was put the iron on fleece pellon on the lining. (in addition to the front) I felt it would be too much. It stands up pretty good on its' own. I used a thin piece of wood that I covered with fabric on the bottom.
I loved the way she does the handles.
