Morning! It sounds like everyone has some fun plans today!
Mom- I have 5 and I know how it feels! Take advantage of the quiet.
Jamesw- I love to eat out, especially breakfast. Good for you!
CaroleJ- Just before I lost my mom to cancer (I was 22) I had made a scrappy kinda afghan with whatever I had laying around. It was her favorite, and I still have it 20 years later. It makes me feel good to snuggle in it. You are doing an amazing thing, no second thoughts allowed.
Grammie- I am so tired of winter! Can I stow away in your suitcase or ship myself in a box with you to FL? pretty please? I'll make the pina coladas while we are there!
Becca- When you find something to make money at home, let me know! My DH keeps saying that there must be an angle to the quilting...anyone with this much stuff must have a way to make some money at it. (Maybe if I worked for a quilt shop!)
I actually don't have any scout plans today, next week will be crazy, I have scouts in different age groups, and they will be Mon, Tues, Wed and Sat.. sheesh.
Stay warm!

Good Morning Gals
Finally the sun is shining in MN.... I was beginning to wonder what the sun looked like! DD's "step daughter" woke me up this morning and we've been playing Princess. She's the princess and she said I was the queen. I made a dress for her out of big huge scarf and fixed her hair, then we had to polish her finger nails. I had to "try on" several colors on my fingers so she could see what they looked like and pick out the one SHE wanted! When DD came up Kaya told Jen she was the cleaner person! LOL
I have a ton of messes to take of today and don't know where to start. Can't see the top of my desk, my laundry hamper is over flowing and I know there is a couch buried some where under stuff in my porch. Even tho I'd much rather hide in the sewing room, I HAVE to get some chores done. Think I'll put "names in a hat" and draw out a project to do. I was kind of hoping to get my Paducah quilt pinned today, but we'll see how many other projects I get done first.
Well, time to refill the coffee mug and get to work.
Hope you all have a wonderful Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentines day all.
my plan is to have DH take me to breakfast then we go have our eye exam and order new glasses... then, I need tires.... and if I don't find what I want today I will wait till Sunday's ad's and get some on monday.
JW, I am surprised you get quilting done with kids home let alone a husband... but I know what you mean... my DH turned a spare bedrooom into a sewing room for me and he added a chair and small table for him to sit and have his coffee.... ugh...
Vicky, I hope you have a fun shopping spree... our JoAnns seems to be downsizing their fabric and other things but I did get some FQ's on the clearance table for 50 cents...
Qnewby, I bet the spice store smells great...
CaroleJ... sorry about the reason you are making the quilt but the girl will cherish it forever.
Judi, I'd invite you to Calif but we are now having storms that may include snow...
gotta go, my hot date is calling.
have a fun day...
Chriss

Good morning. Everyone's busy today. My DH will be home about noon or so and then we are going to the Houston RV Show. So this afternoon/evening I'll be climbing in and out of all the RVs and browsing to see what new gadgets there are. I love the RV show. In other words, DH might get lucky tonight - LOL!
Y'al have a great day.

Good Morning everyone! I've been to the PO to mail my CW FQ swap and to the library to pick up "Dewey" the Library Cat. That book must be wonderful because when I got on the "list" I was number 37!
grammie you need to join one of our sew alongs here! Whew! It will keep you busy! I love them..it keeps me focused on a project. Did you say that you will be able to post here while you're in Florida???
Brenda can't you go to your LQS and talk to them about consignments? I know you sewed that tote for them...maybe let them know you would like to sell them and see what they say??? Make up some cards like Rosie did and give them out. Now that you have that embroidery machine you could make totes with embroidery!
All of you involved in Scouting I applaude you!!! It is awesome that you take the time. I was a Brownie Leader for one year...omg I thought I was going to have a nervous breakdown! LOL!
Maryq put all those houseguests to work! You've got a guy there..find heavy stuff to shove around or something! They LOVE to "help"! lol!
Have fun today Chriss!
Well, I've got my second cup of coffee now, so I'll mosey to the sewing room and see what I can get into! Ya'll have fun! Happy Valentines Day!

Yes, Grammie - It is not too late to join a sew along. Both of them look wonderful! I keep lurking on those threads and reading what everyone is doing.
Joanne - Two weeks ago I went online after seeing the movie "Curious Case of Benjamin Buttons" I am number 43 with 25 or so copies. I am able to do it online at home, so I understand how you feel. I am still waiting for a copy. How many copies are available of "Dewey"?
Chriss and Cindy - Have a good time!!
Brenda - Find something you enjoy making and set up a page-store on Etsy.

Hi everyone...and speaking of Girl Scouts I get to brag,
............I am receiving the Girl Scout Honor Pin in April......... see you are never too old to receive girl Scout "badges" this is the official description "The Honor Pin recognizes an adult member who has delivered exceptional service beyond expectations to two or more geographic areas, service units or program delivery audiences in a way that furthers the council's goals." I found out yesterday and I am very excited since this requires a nomination and 3 letters of recommendation from more than one area and then approval by the board of directors.
I just counted up the quilts I have finished since I got bit by the bug the summer of 2007...15 finished and 5 tops completed plus several WIPs the swaps and encouragement here have been wonderful

Carolyn - Congratulations! Your work with the Girl Scouts is to be admired! I am glad to hear they recognize your valued service.
Joanne - I just checked and now I am 29 with 23 copies available, to it shouldn't be too long.
