You have made a very pretty quilt!
I hate to toss little pieces away also. When I get in my mode where my brain will not function I sew the little cut off triangles or short ends together. Then I cut them into some usable piece. Soon a little doll quilt appears and all that is left is to sew on the left over batting and backing. I have 8 granddaughters to give little quilts to, and I am sure when they become too old I can find other little girls. The best thing is to see their smile when their baby doll gets a quilt.
