garden, I would not want to use the cross grain one you have already cut with ones you cut lengthwise. The stretch is not the same and you could have problems. They need to all be cut in the same directions. If it's cotton fabric, a few thread might come loose, but there should not be bad "raveling". Use spray starch or Best Press on it and it will help bind the thread together until you can sew it. Don't overhandle it.
