Here's a picture of the one that I finished. A friend made all the blocks and when she passed away a couple of years ago I took the blocks and finished the quilt. I think the prints would work well for some of the blocks. It's really whatever you want.

Oh how pretty. So far, the only think I do by hand is turn on my sewing machine, but I'm begining to want to applique. The quilts are SO pretty.

I am starting an appliqued leaves quilt that has hundreds and hundreds of them. The standard method is to trace the design over a
thousand times on fusible web such as Steam-a-Seam 2. I am trying to
think of a process to cut off hours/days of work.
Has anyone ever tried photocopying onto this medium? In this day and ages, there has to be a way to avoid this repetitive task, mustn't there be?
Suggestions anyone?

The series is running on a local channel. the block 6 show was just on. I missed blocks 1 and 2. I may order the pre-printed fusable and try it.

For the next one, I'm going to use the back-basting method.

Cookit, you might want to try it. El already has the block laid out in her book, so I skipped the freezer paper step in this tutorial. It's really easier than it looks. I've done another method similar to this one and really like it, but for something different to do, going to try this one.

Sharon - your blocks are SO pretty. You are doing a super job on the applique. Keep up the good work. Can't wait to see it finished.

Thanks, Cindy, I'm using the pastel shades and it looks like the one Susi posted was done in the darker shades. It does give the 2 options and what to use. That's one of the things I need for something like this.....a list of what shades to use where!!!!

Susi, You did a good job in putting it together. In case I get that far, how is it quilted?

Just jumping in here...my grandma had started a quilt ages ago but never finished it before she passe away. I had the pieces for years ad finally last year finished it. I use Kona cotton for the solid pink and green and reproduction for the inside of the flower...Hope this works
