Is there a secret on sewing two (small) fleece blocks together? I've pinned and used tear-away stabiliers, and still the seam is either crooked or the end edges no longer meet. Any advice? Thanks.

Re: fleece blanket
Midjerr, try adjusting the pressure of your machine foot. Sounds like your fabric layers are shifting while you sew them. Decrease the pressure on the foot and that might help.
Are you using a needle meant for knits? I found that helps, too.
Fleece definitely takes some practice, and some playing with machine settings. It's not as forgiving as cotton!

Re: fleece blanket
Hi,
I know this is after the fact and you most likely have already made your fleece blanket. Debbie Mumm has several fleece projects on her web site. Some are hand tied fringed edges and there is a valentines day one in the archives that has a cotton edge.
You can also go to the Project Linus web site and Joann’s web site for patterns.
I have made several single layer blankets fringed at the top and bottom as well as scarves for various charities.
Good Luck to you.
