I love it, but I'm curious... The squares on the front appear to be 2 differnt sizes, but on the back they all look the same???

How'd you do that?

Sunsup The squares on the back and the larger square in front are
8 1/2 inches and 4 patch is comprised of 4 and 3/4 inche square which end up to be 8 1/2 when sewn together. So they are all actually all the same size.
The hardest part is to remember to sew your fabric with the right sides together.

debbie510 No, you don't use batting. You can use another layer of flannel, which I did because I wanted the quilt to be really warm

So is there 3 layers of flannel here? Look lovely and warm. Makes you want to snuggle down under it.

Sandy, It's beautiful! Aren't rag quilts fun?! So quick & easy. I just finished my 1st rag quilt for my cousin's baby and I'm hooked on it! Gonna try to make a Christmas one soon. Taunya
