Yesterday morning I finished preparing 3 chenille cats to applique to a sweatshirt jacket. My plan is to get them attached tonight and add faces to the two already on the sweatshirt. I'd like to wear it to dinner tomorrow night.

Ho Hum - an hour and forty minutes to go before I can leave the office. Then it's stop at Walgreen's then home to make a quick dinner and then get in my sewing studio.

I found a needle last night and worked on my tote. I decided to add a couple of pockets that were not on the pattern so figuring out how to do those took some time but I did get them done. Tonight I hope to get the tote all put together and move on to breast cancer blocks.
Have a quilty day!

This is a great philosophy! I am sewing binding on the first of three quilts. I actually enjoy hand sewing, but the task seems taunting. When I break it down into one thread it makes it easier. I sewed one thread this morning. Thanks.

I try to work on what ever my current project is about 15-20 min before I go to work every morning. Does this count as a needle of thread a day? I haven't gone in to the sewing room yet this morning, but I will after some breakfast.

Yesterday I worked on the current project from 4:15 a.m. to about 4:40, then off to work.

On Sunday I finished my daughter's king size quilt. Monday before work I pinned and started quilting on a quilt for my neice's baby coming in January. I got all the background stippled on the baby quilt and now I am doing the outlining, it is a four block Dresden Plate.

Have a great Monday.

MY but you ladies have been busy... I played hooky for the weekend and went to visit my sister at her cabin. I did give her Wedding present the Christmas Kaleidoscope quilt I made for her. I finished adding the label on the ride up to the cabin. Only problem is now her daughter wants a quilt made for her.... I am going to have to quilt for 10 years just to get caught up.

I did figure out the setting triangles for my quilt... problem is I was short of fabric. I had to piece chunks of fabric together to make them big enough to cut out the last two setting triangles... That made the other not pieced triangles look funny. I fixed that by sewing the triangle down the middle to the point then re-cut the triangles... I always my setting triangles big so I could get away with this. Now I have 5 un-pieced triangles and 5 pieced triangle... It looks like a design decision.

I WON'T TELL IF YOU DO NOT TELL.

I am hoping I am off tomorrow then I can get some quilting done... it is raining in MID MI and cold... I am ready to stay indoors and dooooo nothing but quilt and maybe knit.

Have a good one

While I was watching Dancing w/the Stars I finished making yo-yos from my partial charm pack. I now have 25 yo-yos. No idea what I'm going to do with them, but they are cute. Now to get the border on my orange crush quilt. how many days have I been trying to do that???
