mequilter, what boonies are you in? My husband was born in Rice Lake. He grew up on a farm between Rice Lake and Barron.

Nancy........I'm about 2 miles from the city limits of Green Bay, it's a small town called New Franken. If you blink when you go through the town, you'll miss all of it.

Thanks ME.... my fabric should be here Monday-- I'll call you. Adam is coming up next Friday for Mem. Day weekend, but leaving Sunday. Maybe we can get together then!!

Nancy --- I made a quilt for my SIL (throw size) last Xmas, and now she might not be my SIL much longer!! Just found out that she left my brother a couple of weeks ago..... I must admit I asked myself who gets the quilt.

Has anyone given a quilt for a wedding, and the couple splits?

Cynthia.......that would be great...I'll have a four-day weekend then. Let's hope the weather will be good, I'd like to get some flowers planted one of those days. (With my luck, we'll get a freeze the night I plant)

Hey y'all, how is everybody?
I have been sewing most of the day, goofing off because I have worked like mad the last few days decluttering my kids' room. I'm working on a wallhanging depicting a house surrounded by a heart. The instructions were kinda blech, so I am paper-piecing parts of it, rather than cutting out little bitty pieces of fabric and stitching them together. So far, I have the house done, and the "lawn" area. I am *really* pleased with how the window came out, and the lawn looks very nice, too. I made it of strips of different greens, rather than of squares that the pattern called for.

We just finished dinner. I was going to work on it some more, but I mis-cut a piece...s**t! So I figured I'd check in here, maybe go watch some telly, and sew some more after the girls go to bed. Thank goodness I bought extra fabric!

I am putting the binding on my black/white "Tossed Nine Patch". I hope to be able to post a picture tomorrow.

OMG, just saw the question about "custody" of the quilts--LOL! IF, and that's a BIG IF, we were ever to split, DH can take his eagle wall quilt; I get the rest. He can take all the computer crap, too.

Debbie, did you have any trouble getting the Tossed Nine to come out the right size? I just did a twin size for my mom; there's a typo in the instructions and I kept thinking it looked much smaller than the finished size listed...and it was! Horrors! I had enough extra squares to put a pieced border in between the narrow first border and the wide outside border...turned out real pretty, but I lost time brainstorming the solution.

Your project sounds cute.... am looking forward to seeing it--

You too Debbie

I'm the one that talked about custody of quilts.... my brother recently bought a big boat (lives in Florida) -- he's so happy when he's fishing - hope he doesn't lose the boat during this split.
