Re: Sat 3/29 Sew-in
Hello Everyone! I've completed the quilting in the blocks of my Log Cabin quilt. Now on to the borders.
It's a cloudy, rainy day here in Mid-Tennessee. Just the kind of day to sit and sew. No walk for me today!
Hope you're all having a nice, restful Saturday.
Tul, I'm happy to see you posting and hope you're feeling better today!

Hi all.........Tul......WOZ...check out the "Whirlwind Quilt" on www.quiltingtreasures.com, that's where you'll find the pattern of what I'll be starting. Just finished up the applique on two blocks, need to iron them & then I'm off to see the Wizard. Hope that I can get the top done within the next week for the sepia tones & then I think I'll do the same pattern for the colored tones. Packer quilt is on hold for awhile, there's a major fundraiser held in October & the foundation would like the quilt to be featured there. Think it would be a good idea if the names were embroidered on the sashing strip under their signatures?

*SMILE*
I DO hink I am feeling somewhat better.
Thank you ladies for asking.
IF I can go to bed tonight without taking any narcotics pain meds, then I have made it 2 days in a row like that.
I 'stumbled' over Pepper today, and went down ALL the way, Tumble and roll (Jeff's instructions) went through my head, so I did follow through with that. Being on Levaquin and making a tumble like that I thought for sure I would have strained, broken or hurt 'something'.
I landed on outstretched hands, which is not a smart thing to do, but I guess since I followed it with the thumble rolling move, it did not do any damage. I feel darn luck. Hopefully no soreness tomorrow.
It does feel SO good to be here again for a while, and to be posting a bit on the forums also.
((((MMq)))) Take good care of YOU okay? How sweet to make a pot roast for one of your baby's on their B-Day. SO vey sweet and SO like you
Lori, I hope all stays calm for you at work.
Carin, since you go to the store, can you pick me up a few things also?
Q7 I can smell that meat sauce...(And I can truly smell good these days) have fun machine quilt practise, relax your shoulders.
((Ann)) Skipping to walk for today is more then okay in MY book.
Sit n sew, soon I'll get there also.
How are you sleeping these nights Ann?

Hi everyone! I got home from work around 4:30, got out of my work outfit and now have on my comfy sweat pants and sweater. DH put a lasagne in the oven earlier...it won't be done for about another 20 minutes, my tummy is growling and I'm about to croak!
Don't know if I will sew tonight...won't try to stay up late as I'm the 0700 grunt on deck in the morning! lol I actually don't mind going in that early; it means I am off at 1530.
Just wanted to say hi!

Re: Sat 3/29 Sew-in
Hello all ~ Has been a very busy day, DH and I went to breakfast about 10ish and then to our storage unit. All the things I wasn't sure what to do with when I shut down my mom's house after she passed away is there. It has been four years and I have brought home some of it but just haven't been able to tackle it emotionally. So today was the day to begin. I don't know why but while we were talking about going to eat I told DH that we needed to take the truck because I was going to go and start today. So that is exactly what we did. Took a load of stuff to the women's shelter, clothes, household things and other stuff that I knew I couldn't use and while it was hard, the time has come. Then we went grocery shopping and after putting everything away, I watched part of a movie with DH and now I am here with all of you! He is going to grill salmon, I have a pasta salad to go with it and will cook some vegies, healthy and light. Dr. wants DH to shed some weight and this the weekend to start that too! I don't have a clue what I am going to work on tonight, what are all of you working on? It has been raining most of the day and the temp has dropped alot, so I am very chilled and may have to wrap up and do hand work and chat with all of you. I have a hot cup of coffee which is helping. Hi everyone!
It's been a while but have finally got a chance to drop in and try and catch up with everyone.
We had visitors over Easter and then Ken went on a road trip with our son for a few days and took this computer with him. Talk about rude!!!! How dare HE take HIS computer and leave ME with nothing!!! What IS this world coming to???!!!
Weather is finally starting to cool down.....thank goodness!! Haven't used the air conditioner for a few days now.
Gunna go get a coffee and see if I can settle in for a chat for a while!

Hey, Kadie.......good to see you. Looks like we're off to a great start tonight. I'm sorting through pink material & trying to get my cutting table cleaned off before I start cutting out the next project. It actually got up to 40 today, woohoo & sunshine. The snow is starting to go away & I think I saw my hostas starting to sprout.

Re: Sat 3/29 Sew-in
I did some machine quilting while waiting for the pasta water to boil. Susanna - I think I should follow your instructions and relax my shoulders but my first attempt isn't too bad. The BSR helps a lot. The instructor in the class says try not to use it. Oh sure, that is why I bought it. From what others say it will simply speed up the learning so I will look bette sooner. Maybe someday I will feel I don't need it, but not yet.
I will be back, need to make the garlic bread and eat dinner with DH. (Yes the sauce smells very good!)
